R.I.P. Mac Dre

I still can't believe this has happened...I just can't imagine someone like Mac Dre being gone...He was one of the first rappers to get me interested in Bay Area music. A pioneer is gone...it's a sad day for the Bay and its' rappers, fans, families, etc.

I'm still basically too numb to say much more about this right now, but let's everyone on the Siccness pray in Mac Dre's memory and pour out some liquor for him as well...

R.I.P. Mac Dre, you will be missed terribly. One Love.

PEACE!

RIP Andre Hicks aka Mac Dre

This is a fucked up day in the Bay! Ive been bumpin Mac Dre since the beginning and will continue to bump his shit forever! What's sad about this incident is he wasnt even in Cali when this all went down. Fuck the haters in KC that did this shit! Touring on the road and doing concerts in unkown territories can be dangerous but death? The game is all suppose to be for promotion and sellin CD's and havin a good time makin good cash but some mutha fuckas hate on a nigga doin his thing, cant fight so they need a gun to feel like a man...Fuck You kind of mutha fuckas!!!!!!

RIP to Mac Dre aka Andre Hicks. A man who has been through so much in his career and went out on top!!! This is a man who can Rap a story using more metophore then you can imagine! Some like a song because they feel the beat but with Dre you feel his lyrics!!!! Much luv and respect to Dre's family and friends who have to really deal with this crazy mess. We all need to come together through the music and fuck all the bullshit!!! We lost a Bay Area hard hitter who put Vallejo on the map!

It's so hard to try and comprehend I don't know where to start. Mac Dre's music has been a part of my life since riding the bus to a high school game one day in 1990. I can still remember that first listen and then flipping sides on the YBB in my walkman for the rest of the season. Thru 15 years of lyrics I felt like I almost knew him. His music brings back fond a lot memories and a few sad memories depending on the track and that's a sign of how powerful his music was to me....he had a true "gift 2 gab". My eyes have weld up on and off all day since hearing about his passing. I know his Thizzle Washington CD is in the ride right now and on my way home tonight I'm gonna drop a few tears as I say my good bye's to the one and only Mac Dre. We'll miss you MD. RIP.
