Rick has no reason to steal from anyone. PERIOD.
The stunna shades at night song was a real no brainer, like someone said before.
On Sykos version, its not even the same hook. Hes not the originator of the song...
The FEDS have NEVER heard of Syko...no offense...
Not saying he isnt established, but they havnt...neither has 40.
All in all, Syko sampled the song as well. All he did was sing over the song. The FEDS actually remade the song.
im not EVEN TRYIN to get into this argument about this myspace shit..

but how u gonna say the FEDS never heard of SYKO???

if ur a fan of dre u should know who SYKO is...

Actually, I know alot more than you think. I asked them if they had ever heard of some dude named Syko...and they were like..."who...naww...whos that?!" I like to get shit straight like the next muthafuka...so I decided to go straight to the resource and ask...so thats how I know.

Do you know any rapper that admits to biting? Just ask Vanilla Ice his beat goes "ding ding ding ding" and Queen's beat goes "ding da ding da ding ding" you feel me?

What makes you think they know them? Cuz you or some others on here have heard of them. Ive been in the music industry for some years now(worked with labels and artist as well as underground) and have never heard of him. Thats not to say he doesnt have talent...but not everyone knows the same person...

I must have hearing problems cuz I dont really hear any similarities. Has anyone thought that this just might be a publicity stunt?
IMO Rick Rock is to creative and too talented to bother lookin at people's myspace to get ideas to bite.

HAA, I remember that interview, he was like "No, they're different. See theirs goes (sings the sample) and then mines goes....."

Classic.

dr dre scott storch and timbaland are all bigger than rick rock and they all have stolen songs. not to say rick rock is guilty, but some of you are defending him based on "he's popular so it must not be true". scott storch stole that lean back song from a dude in alabama, timabaland got his car shot up behind stealing somebodies music. dr dre stole songs from above the law and from daz. this music business is filled with somebody's stepping on nobody's.

That's funny considering none of the people you've named have ever been found guilty of 'stealing someones elses music' in the countless lawsuits people have filed against them. You can't build careers like theirs off of straight up theft.

This is just a nice way of telling you to stfu since you don't know what you're talking about and to quit taking internet rumors the gospel.

First of all how can you steal a myspace song if the person does not put the dowload option up? You cant. So when you say rappers jack beats on myspace how can they unless you give them the option to DL. Also since when does Rick Ross make beats? Why are yall comparing a rapper to a producer? Thats like saying. "Ludacris is better than Pharell and Chad" WTF.

you can play the track and record to a standalone w/ headphone out or stereo, also there are apps out there that will record a mp3 or wav of the song your playing. it can and has been done.
