This new Deerhunter album is so fucking good.
And no, not RJ's fanboy obsessed The Dear Hunter (who I do like as well though) but Deerhunter from Atlanta, GA. Their music is a mix of shoegaze, noise rock, post punk and throw in some psychedelic rock on top.

The album doesn't actually come out until Oct but it got leaked in April or something like that. I could listen to "Nothing Ever Happened" on replay all day.

This album totally exceeded any expectations I had for it and those expectations were set pretty high. Seriously every fucking song on it is great in my opinion. I agree with everyone though, God Condition is amazing.
This might have bumped Santogold from the #1 spot for me this year.
