As much as I like those two albums (which is a lot) I think Rabbit Habits is leaps and bounds better. I listened to it again all the way through on the bus/walk to work and it was just amazing. Three and a half months in and there have been some really good albums released and it's not even the "prime time" for album releases yet.

I can't wait to get home and listen to that Animal Collective EP. You listen to it RJ? Are you even a fan or was just linking it? I love Animal Collective's stuff, and Panda Bear's solo stuff. Avery Tare's album was meh IMO.

From the blog I jacked it from:

Autumn Is Forever was formed in Charlotte, N.C. and started out as a side project of different local bands in the fall of 1997. Releasing several ep's, splits and 2 LP's from the fall of 1997 to 2004. In 2006 AIF released there earliest demos from 1997-1998 as an ep titled "Breathe/Fall". In early 2007 AIF was rejoined by 2 original members and recruited 2 new members and began writing for their first full length in 3 years. During the process they realized the music was taking a completely different direrction than what AIF has ever done before. With this dramatic change they decided to change their name and start fresh as a new band under a different name, And began writing their first full length titled "Calmed By The Tide". From Oceans To Autumn is gearing up for a busy 2007. Hoping to place there mark on experimental metal, and has redefined and expanded the overall sound and writing direction to epic proportions.

Debut full length, 7 songs 50+ minutes. Taking influence from a wide variety of bands From Oceans To Autumn’s debut album combines spacedout textures. driving rhythms to create an album of epic proportions. For fans of Giant, Rosetta, Cult Of Luna should take note!
Great album.

Now to totally change things up from my last post lol.

I just bought this EP yesterday.

Self described "baroque harmonic pop jams" from Fleet Foxes of Seattle. The EP is called Sun Giant and it was described by Pitchfork Media as having "elements of classic rock, church music, old-timey folk, and soundtrack flourishes" to quote wiki quoting Pitchfork Media. I'm really looking forward their full length called Ragged Wood which is set to come out in June.

If anyone has their self titled EP that came out in 2006 I'd be thankful if you could link it. I can't find it anywhere.

They fucking killed it with changing "doomed now".... :(
Why????? The original version (which i posted wayyyy back) was 100x better then this shitty version.
The cd is good though...i'd give it 3 thumbs up...solely because they fucked up "doomed now"

Upon further listening..

This cd is sick...and that new version is pretty good in it's own right. I like the motif melody they have in several of the songs. Another of '08s best for me.
