agreed.... Now I'm not knockin Vince cuz I wanted him in the draft at one point... But its just crazy how he comparing Russell to Vince when this is basically Russells first season in the nfl since he came in late and was just riding the bench last season.. But really like Solitary stated, the probowl is a popularity contest.. so thats not even worth to throw in there.. not like VY had a spectacular season..... bottom line is its preseason and coaches are out there to see who makes or breaks the team and get their depth charts in place.. And clearly Russell outshined Young last night and thats that... congrats on the PRESEASON win.. I'll take the W when it really matters

again your comparing a preseason game vs the titans to the "BATTLE OF THE BAY" its always a big rivarly game for raiders and 49ers fans.. preseason or not.. aint like the niners in the afc where we get a chance to go at em in the reg season every time.. but fuck it to each their own right???? if all you care about is gettin a preseason win then watching your starters perform well then so be it.. we all get diff. opinions bout our teams.. I just cant wait for the damn season to start already to be honest with ya

I feel what your sayin.. But at least from my personal perspective and the perspective of fellow raider fans and opposing 49er fans in the bay area everytime the 2 teams play eachother its the "battle of the bay" preseason or not.. its just a bay area thing since Oakland and San Fran are a bridge apart.. gives us bragging rights for the season..if ya aint a part of it you cant really speak on it, because its been this way for years...

but as far as Young and Russell goes, we'll just wait til the end of the 2008 season to see who performed the best..

7-9 AINT THAT BAD CONSIDERING HOW BAD THE RAIDERS HAVE BEEN FOR THE LAST 5 YEARS. 7-9 SHOWS WE'RE TUNRING THE CORNER.

it was a boring ass game.....

and i didnt say russel threw a td pass against the 2nd stringers....but most of his completions came with the 2nd stringers in....and from the jump of the game we were playing with our 3rd string CB eric king...im not making excuses cuz we still won in the end...VY as well as the whole offesne had a bad night...one of our franchise tackles is out and looper looked horrible...i place most of the blame on him....we shoulda ran for way more yards but the line kept collapsing on that side...

probowl is probowl and thats something that jrussel hasnt been in.....you act like if jrussel was in the probowl as a alt you would be like "oh well hes just an alternative...maybe next year he will get in as a starter"....uhhhh NO there would be like 4 threads about it saying he could be the best ever....just because it hasnt happend to your boy yet means you can talk shit to the next man? bitch move if you ask me

quit bullshiting....russel hasnt proved himself better and if he does maybe ill take it all back....

No but he couldn't be no worse the the Niners starters. the pats will be okay. Kurt warner proved to me years ago that u don't have to be a true gunslinger to excel. warner put up those numbers cause of the weapons he was surrounded by. prolly the most overratted QB in football history(pop warner, high skool, college and pro).
