Or some people are realists? Just becuase people see something in a different light that YOU, doesn't make them a hater. Fuck outta here with that bullshit.
Just because a persons opinion differs from my own doesnt bother me. I deal with those circumstances everyday like we all do. you are saying that trading seymour for a #1 is bad decision. How so?

#1 picks are crap shoots. seymour is a PROVEN all-pro caliber player. those skills were on display monday night for all to see. If he plays like this on regular basis, he isnt going anywhere. our track record proves this much. We pay veterans what they are worth. Have we overpaid some? Obviously we have but Al Davis is a player's owner. The raiders were a place veterans were lining up to come at one time. winning changes all that. I feel we are on the right track and most of the people agree. The rest are just hating imo.

Edit*
what are you seeing that the we arent? you didnt see the game. you dont think seymour came in and made an impact? we couldnt have written it any better except walking away with the W. That supposed horrid run d played well.

Ill tell you what, in the Raiders defense, they have had shitty "luck" with first rounders, so maybe you are right.

In theory, I feel that the raiders gave UP too much for Seymore, who is only slated to stay in Oakland one year...but you can obviously sign him for more. On top of that, if he doesn't help you produce WINS, was it worth it? THAT was my point.

But you didn't, that's just it. Moral victories are for losers....no offense.

I have already stated that I DO feel sorry for Oakland...i really do. Al Davis is a fuckin nut job who is running the once proud franchise into the ground. I think any Raider fan can attest to that. And I am sorry, but you are NOT going to build a successful team around Jamrcus...he just does NOT have the stuff, its plain as day. He is NOT a good QB.

Best of luck on the rest of the season.

regardless, you cant predict a players future 9 times out of ten.

he is under contract for one, but can be franchised twice, worst case scenario. Al Davis will pay the man if he produces. W-L is what matters, i'm with you there.

i'm, not one for moral victories either.

there are times i feel ole al is up to his tricks. but seeing the press conference with seymour, the old man still got it. Would i do things differently, of course. but at the end of day everybody will second guess a negative outcome. JR needs to step up. it is still too early. John Elway lined up behind guard at times. i'm not comparing the two, i'm just saying give him time. If he is a bust, he is a bust. i'm not one to deny reality.

Best of luck on the rest of the season.
right on. it is never personal.

if he makes our team better it was worth it... yeah we lost the game Sunday night... but I'm pretty sure he will end up helping us produce WINS... if you can't tell that our defense looked waaaay better on Monday then I dunno what to tell you...

besides, there's no guaranteeing our number one overall pick in 2011 will make a bigger impact than Seymour

shit, a lot of our players in the later rounds have made bigger impacts than our first round picks anyways... ie: Louis Murphy and DHB

When we first made the trade I was somewhat skeptical because I did not know how the situation would play out... and did not know how much of an impact Seymour would really make on our defense... but if the way our defense played Monday night is an indication of how the defense would play then I am 100% happy with the pick, he should bring a toughness to the line, and I think he will help to make players around him better we need that veteran leadership... especially a veteran pro bowler coming from a winning organization who knows how to WIN

our D-line was the wort part of the team (the qb is also debatable there) and now it's improved, how is it a bad move to improve on the worst part of your team?

but at this point it's honestly to early to say whether or not it was a good trade for sure, but all signs are indicating that it was. Even though we lost the game, we did what we could never do in the past... stop the run!

again, it's too early to say for sure whether or not the trade was good, but I think it will end up being a good trade... hopefully we can sign him to a contract past this season
