With all due respect to your personal opinion, going back to set-trippin would be a horrible move. Homies would have to watch their back for fellow homies in addition to skraps. Red on Red violence isnt any better in my opinion cuz when revenge gets thrown in the mix your gonna have whole hoods trying to wipe out other hoods and rivalries will sprial to the point where even solid homeboys are gettin taken out by their own. Trampas were around even then, as they are now and thats not due to a lack of work bein put in, but the mathematics. Homeboys are outnumbered. We know that much. Allowing a soft muffucca to consider themself a homie is the responsability of the hood they trying to claim. I can't speak for other hoods and how they operate, but when we come across somebody who we know isn't bout their shit or has a faulty rep, and they claimin our turf, we smash on em. simple as that. I can name several homies, youngsters even, from out here who been locked up for puttin in their work. I can personally say that if i don't throw on any colors and do my daily routine, i get hit up by the homies. But as i said before, i can't speak for other places, just here where i reside in the stack. Dont get me wrong tho,we got ratz too, but they aren't flossin their shit when they step outside the house like they prolly do elsewhere. (maybe if their hiding under the tree in that court on skrap garden). Me and some of my homies were just talkin the other day about how local newspapers and tv have started NOT mentioning certain shit about certain situations so you don't hear about all the shit thats been cracking off if you don't know the people involved on a personal tip.
I do think homies need to start steppin up to the plate, but i dont think that will happen with set-trippin. Thats just my opinion tho, take it or leave it.
