San Jose police name man fatally shot outside his Westside home

A man who was standing outside of his West San Jose home when he was shot Wednesday is the city's 12th homicide of the year, officer Enrique Garcia said today.
It was around 9 a.m. when Homer Bejarano Resendez, 46, was shot outside of his home on the 3600 block of Cape Cod Court, near San Tomas Expressway and Payne Avenue, Garcia said. Police released Resendez's name this afternoon.

After he was shot, Resendez ran back into his home and relatives frantically called 911, Garcia said. Resendez was taken to the hospital where he later died.

San Jose police don't have a suspect in the case and Garcia said the motive in the shooting is unclear.

"We are trying to figure out why it happened, why him," Garcia said.

its sad to hear of yet another homeboy being takin from us. i'm just gonna say it and yall can agree with me or cry about it i don't really give a fuck. but a lot of these new generation homeboys are on some scary shit. i'm sick of seein so called homies put their heads down or look away when a real northern soldier come walkin by. everywhere i go i gotta see this shit. when i was young i walked with my head up high filled with pride and i always looked fools in their eyes and if we even thought some fool was a thang or back then if they was from another varrio we hit him up without even thinking twice. we had to cause if we didn't we had to answer for that shit. we was on some military mindstate shit and i'm still that way today. but what i'm seein now n days is a bunch of weenies sportin red tryin to live that norte life without having to back it up. and if you don't beleive me then just get off your computers and look out in them streets cause these fuckin tramps aren't scared of you vatos no more. they're bringin it to you now. i mean shit maybe we should all go back to how it was in the early 90's and start set trippin again. maybe then these fools would actually have to earn the right to call themselves homeboys and earn the right to sport all that rojo!! i apologize for takin my post off topic. i'm just gettin sick of hearin of homeboy after homeboy being takin out. i didn't know this vato but he was a vete and it hits me close to the heart, and the younger homies need to be out there protectin your varrios and your older homies cause them og's were out there fighting and sheddin their blood and givin up their freedom so the younger homies can walk around the hood filled with pride...seems that some of these youngsters aren't holding up their end of the deal. With all due respect to your personal opinion, going back to set-trippin would be a horrible move. Homies would have to watch their back for fellow homies in addition to skraps. Red on Red violence isnt any better in my opinion cuz when revenge gets thrown in the mix your gonna have whole hoods trying to wipe out other hoods and rivalries will sprial to the point where even solid homeboys are gettin taken out by their own. Trampas were around even then, as they are now and thats not due to a lack of work bein put in, but the mathematics. Homeboys are outnumbered. We know that much. Allowing a soft muffucca to consider themself a homie is the responsability of the hood they trying to claim. I can't speak for other hoods and how they operate, but when we come across somebody who we know isn't bout their shit or has a faulty rep, and they claimin our turf, we smash on em. simple as that. I can name several homies, youngsters even, from out here who been locked up for puttin in their work. I can personally say that if i don't throw on any colors and do my daily routine, i get hit up by the homies. But as i said before, i can't speak for other places, just here where i reside in the stack. Dont get me wrong tho,we got ratz too, but they aren't flossin their shit when they step outside the house like they prolly do elsewhere. (maybe if their hiding under the tree in that court on skrap garden). Me and some of my homies were just talkin the other day about how local newspapers and tv have started NOT mentioning certain shit about certain situations so you don't hear about all the shit thats been cracking off if you don't know the people involved on a personal tip.

I do think homies need to start steppin up to the plate, but i dont think that will happen with set-trippin. Thats just my opinion tho, take it or leave it.

I guess it varies where your at in the town I live in the youngstas are about theirs.Only problem is they dont wanna do the time and snitch eachother out which is not cool. But over here in Reedley they been handling Bulldogs not really Scraps.We try to keep our town free of bulldogs and have them running around scared.But back to the subject what's going on these days are the veteranos aint schooling the little homies right.All these young homies are just trying to be cool like someone they know brother,sister,cousin,etc.noone tells them what banging Norte is really about or that their is a certain rules Nortenos go by.They just think let me go to my local store and buy a red shirt and then Ill be a Gangster.Shit has to change and fast.
