I don't think it's a sin. But if you were to let it consume your life where you are destroying relationships with loved ones, spending money you don't have on the drug and neglecting necessities, then yes, I think it's a sin. That would fall under the category of gluttony.

Me personally, I've never tried any drugs except alcohol. I've never even smoked a cigarrette. Not necessarily because I think it is wrong, but more because I wanted to be a professional athlete and wanted to keep my body as pure as possible. Also, I don't really care to try it. I've sat with friends while they were smoking. I always just said no thanks and they never questioned me because they knew I was cool and if they thought about calling me a pussy they knew I'd beat their ass if I needed to.
