More No than Yes. It depends on if you're Using it, or Utilizing it.

If you smoke weed, then Write Papers, Study, Clean, Make Music, etc., then to me its not much of a sin. If you smoke weed, then just sit there, or do nothing, or watch a movie...then its nothing more than a cheap excuse to be lazy.

If you treat people well, eat well, make other people smile, all of that--then go nuts. But if your life is falling apart, bad job, eating unhealthy, smoking cigarettes/weed......then complain that you don't have enough money to get by, you're an idiot and of course its a sin.

I'd say all of the above^^^^^ for Alcohol and Caffeine as well, legal or otherwise. Circumstance dictates. Don't use mind-altering substances to mask weakness, avoid taking responsibility, etc. Use them sparingly to put some spice in your life--and once you have that spice, use it to your advantage.

I think people's answers to this question are skewed by what their definition of a sin is.

And therein lies the problem, a sin is not defined by the person committing them.

Not to get all religified n shit on people.

"weed is from the earth. god put this here for me and you. take advantage man, take advantage."
so was the tree of everlasting life, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil, both were off limits, just cause its here doesnt mean its ok to do it, imo we all have a conscience for a reason, my conscience tells me not to smoke weed so i quit, simple as that

I don't see where in the bible .. where it says smoking weed is a sin..

it says.. getting DRUNK is a sin.. and yes I am a sinner.. but compared to the REAL evil that goes on in this world.. I think i'd be the last person the God of the universe would want to kill. My good deeds out weigh my drinking.. i deserve to have my own pleasure..

also if you are not supposed to ruin your body.. then no one should drink COKE...
coke soda... damges ... your body.. yet many Christians drink it...

same with frozen food... and just about everything is contaminated now.

Also if people wanna get really technical... even wedding rings.. have pagan.. origins...

so will all Christians... who get married.. (all of them) die on the last day?

makes you think huh?

also consider just about every organized religion.. is controled The Rockefeller and RothsChild Families... and the Illuminati..

at the higher levels.. they are conditioning the people who go to church to accpet the new world order.. and they are teaching them.. that microchips are ok.. not the mark of the beast.. when it clearly is..

This is why the bible.. says.. let he who has WISDOM figure it out...

not.. let the church brain wash.. and control you...

But you have to read more than the bible.. you have to read other spiritual books.. to find the real truth.

Also you have to know that many things in the bible. have a hidden meaning... and some things are just blatant and to the point...

but do I think smoking weed.. will make you be judged.. ? NO...

because then God would have to judge every one who drinks.. coke..
since studies prove.. it's damages the body...

also if you drink tap water.. you damage your body.

God just wants us to be on the side of good and light.. he knows no one is perfect..

But I believe if you good works.. .are far greater.. than your evil deeds...

then you can achieve eternity.. and ascend..

But before this happens more people have to wake up to the truth about life...

then the Illuminati and secret societies who want to control the minds and souls.. of humans.. can be defeated...
then we can reach Eternal Life.. and ascend...

then we can all smoke a plus.. in heaven.. and chill...

The End.

thanks.

I didn't vote cuz I don't think its a simple yes or no answer. I think if you're an addict or a glutton and you waste your whole life being stoned, you probably sinned. But if you need to relax at the end of the day, I don't see how that's any different than drinking a glass of wine.

The church should have added weed as another sacrement with bread and wine. Then the priest could hold up a blunt and go "This is my soul, lost for you and for all so that your sins may be forgiven, smoke this in memory of me" and then they ring the church bell and the priest lights up a huge doobie and passes it around the alters. There'd be a ton more people in church and it would be a much more religious experience.

I guess using anything that alters/affects your perception is a sin. To me. Of course, I don't smoke so I wouldn't know how it is, but judging from all the movies i've seen, it pretty much fucks your coordination and ability to think logically.

nah it doesn't mess with my coordination or ability to think, if anything it makes me think about things more clearly and look at it from a different perspective

From a religious stand point, it's definitely a sin. Whether you think it does or not, it alters you chemically. Therefore your thoughts, actions, motor functions are different than when your normal. I don't think God wants us to be different from who we really are naturally. He wants us to stay the same way we entered the world, which is nature and pure.

There's far worse sins of course, but just don't let it take over you. It's definitely a weakness if you have to resort to using it all the time.

I think you just have to try to balanced. Too much of anything can harm you, even water.

I think religion itself can be a sin. Too many people devote too much time to it, money,.... which can lead to hardships. Some homies of mine could have probably grown up to be better people if their parents weren't so involved with their religion.

As a person who recently dis-affiliated myself with the religion of my upbringing (Mormonism), I would not consider it a sin. Other than mostly heinous acts, I wouldn't consider many sins that organized religious would find, as sinful. That part of me is influenced by the Constructionist and post-modernist aspect that I have embraced (we create our own reality of our actions). I believe we all have our own journey. Mine, most likely, much different than yours. And, if you want weed to be apart of your journey, then, good for you.
