Is smoking Marijuana a Sin?

This is a question for the religious people on the sicc (Catholic, Christian, Muslim, whatever). Do you feel that smoking weed is a sin? This is something that ive struggled with for awhile now. I have came to the conclusion that it is not because it is not harmful to your body or to others and it is natural and doesn't need to be altered to be a drug. I do feel that other more serious drugs like ecstasy, meth, opiates and cocaine are a sin because they do harm the users health and overall life. I'm just interested what the religious people think, whether they smoke or not.

Its hard for me to speak on this because i try to do what the bible says to do. I know we are suppose to follows man's laws and I try my best, but its almost like america wants you to break them because the goverment doesn't follow the rules anyways but it is still wrong. As for it being an herb and good for the body thats for the smoker to judge for himself, i think you answered your own question.

i feel that it is a sin...now if u feel that weed has a positive effect on the mind or is therapeutic, you may feel different..also, smoking has a negative effect on the body..ingesting is different..i guess..but overall i think its a sin..

I'm sure if there was marijuana up there, you wouldn't have to smoke it to get high. But i'm not going to put any doubt against God. Just try to the best with the information i got. If you have a verse you would like to share with me i will listen to you to an extent.

huirting your body does not make it a sin, the bible says to not destroy thy temple, but also says it is destroyed by what comes out of your mouth rather than what goes in. and i honestly think if your conscience fucks with you when you smoke weed, and you still do it, that is a sin, you cant think something is wrong subconsciously and still continue to do it, just my 2 cents

No. I'm "Christian" being that I believe that Jesus Christ is my Lord & Savior and I smoked probably 15 grams last night alone. & that wuz only kuz I had this huge-exam in Squarefield this morning so I couldn't do like I normally do.
