I post up whole albums(no homeboy rap) with links to buy it in the video description, because straight up, if someone wants to steal it so bad they'll rip each track off of youtube, they wouldn't buy your shit regardless. In my opinion at the end of the day, it helps the artist spread their music out.

You guys are looking at it like we're just coming out the 1990's or something, it's a completely different game these days. Everyone is literally GIVING away dope music, because the competition for fans is at an all time high. You need to look into other avenues of making revenue off your music such as touring and merchandise. Make someone like your music so much that they will go to all your concerts in their area and buy a t-shirt or an autographed hard copy of the album. You have to give a lot more incentive to make the fans CHOOSE to support you. This whole genre will get left behind if you don't adapt to the times.

Also, the last few albums I've uploaded have been FREE and better than a majority of projects people charge for.

somebody should invent a new type of file like mp3 that plays in the car like a mp3 but installed in the files programing a hidden virus that only activates when the file is shared on sites that alow free download of the music like Mp3 converter, fileshare, etc. and not only negates the upload to the net but installs a virus to the person who was trying to give out the songs for free a computer virus that permantely destroys their computers hard drive and erases everything from their computer. that be Sweet! lol
Impossible, since you would have to code a virus into the .mp3 file and you would have to invent a new file format, then you would have to invent a new stereo that would be capable of playing your file, this is assuming that anyone is stupid enough to download a song that doesn't end in .mp3

If an artist is making money off of their music, i can see how they wouldn't want it posted. But some ppl like myself who don't, really could care less what someone does with our music. If you aren't well known yet and are hungry to get your name out there, you shouldn't really be trippin on it as much.

When I post my songs on youtube i have to convert the files down down down to less then 8mb, if someone would rather download crap quality sound then more power to them lol.
