It does look generic, and square shaped eh.... the original PS3 looks sleek. Im sticking with my model, includes flash memory card slots and PS2 backwards compatibility. when i want more storage i will look into swapping out the HD.

i was thinking of overheating mine to pick this up cuz i got 3 year warranty from target before they announced it but now that i look at it im not feeling it.... plus mine has 4 usb ports and i use them all and the memory card reader.... and backwards compatible.... im not downgrading

You know you dont really need the external memory card slot dont you? bc you can create a internal memory card

I most likely will. It wont look as clunky in the bedroom and take up less space, thus me being able to relocate it.

The current PS3 construction is too big to fit it in this space i have open under my TV, but the new PS3 slim will be able to fit into it. That is what i meant by relocation.

No new PS3's will have backwards compatibility. I think the 2nd generation were the last to offer it.
