for one thing im not a kid, 2nd off i buy my own shit, 3rd i dont got a ps3 or want one this year.

and i dont see how its a gimmick as its a newer better model. it does the same shit but the insides are smaller, cooler and cheaper to buy. thats like buying a thick ass laptop and then a year or 2 later they come out with the same laptop, thinner and lighter and runs better but you still say your bulky un-effiecent one is the same, when its clearly not.

not to mention you can put this slim ps3 in your cars under the seats or something like that, can you do that with a ps3 right now?


you just sound mad cus you bought the 1st generation of a new product and are mad that the new one came out and your stuck with your old foreman grill

First off, it's not a better performing machine it's just a smaller one..

Heres the definition of gimmick -

an ingenious and usually new scheme or angle c: a trick or device used to attract business or attention <a marketing gimmick>

and that's exactly what it is.. I'am not saying the machine is bad in any way, or worse then a bigger ps3.. I'am jus saying it does the same thing as a older ps3 'cept now sony has a new way of makeing more money from an old product.

You think Sony gives a fuck about you not havin enough room by you're t.v to put up a ps3? You think thats the reason they make slim models? No, it's because they know by putting out a new shiny smaller ps3 that some fuckin retards will buy 'em up even if they already own a ps3 and even more people who don't own ps3's will now cop one cuz the slim's are the "new thing" and all "hyped up".. Not only that the price to make these ps3's is probably considerably lower then it costs to make a regular ps3.. I'am sorry kid, that's a gimmick.. It's all about money and console sales to sony.

exactly why its good business



they are struggling in the growth stage right now, hence the introduction of this slim ps3. price gets lower and growths goes up and and it extends the life cycle. not to mention the saving of money from shipping costs and actual store shelf space

^^^ Your pretty on point, to me it would be amazing if a much slimmer ps3 performs the same as the bigger ones. I dont know how many people have problems with overheating but i know i seen Jake talking bout his does, the slimmer one would probably be even better for solving that problem then 40 gb one thats bigger, i got the 40 gb one and i dont really have issues with that at all.

with a built in projector so you can take that mug anywhere and play it on a wall or sumthin. completely wireless with built in battery life. i wouldnt be surprised if they made some shit like that in the future. lol

But as for me I'm holding out until the new model drops. If the specs are good and the new ones perform well I'll get one. If the new one sucks I'll get the new bundle with KZ2 and MGS4, so no matter what I'm getting one.

new ps3 being released soon?

im planning on buyin a ps3 soon, but ive been reading around (for like 15min) and it looks like there might be a new ps3 (slim) being released soon


anyone have any info on this? should i buy one now or wait and see?
