I'm pretty sure I've heard you can't do PS2 games on the newer PS3's also...

We just covered that.

And the real difference between watching movies on the PS2 vs. the PS3 is the PS2 has games.

And also a BLu-ray > DVD player...but well just look over that little detail, right?

yeah I know. That argument may have been relivant 6 months ago, but there are a lot of games coming out right now and will continue to come out over winter. By next year there will be a ton of games available but whatever.

Problem with that is, next year there will be hella 360 games out also... Gears of War 2, Huxley, Halo Wars, Alan Wake... and those are just a few exclusives due next year. By Holiday 2008, Metal Gear Solid 4 will either be released or announced for 360, A Final Fantasy game of some sort will be announced for 360, and then what will Sony have for exclusive games? God of War and Gran Turismo?


PS3 dudes are always waiting for good games to come out... fuck all that, I'll be playing Halo 3, BioShock, and Mass Effect while you're waiting for games and watching movies.

No thats not a problem because you're talking about the 360. The argument was there are no games for the PS3, but clearly there are and there will continue to be more coming out. It doesn't matter whats on the 360.

Ive heard that Heavenly Sword is TOO short, you can beat it in about 10 hours or less.

PS3 is overall a better system then 360 and has way more potential. People just always bitched about the price and games but now with the new PS3 @ 400$ and with 180 games coming out for the PS3 within the span of 3 months and 380 by March there isn't to much to complain about.

180 games are not coming out in 3 months and if they are then i can guarantee you that about 175 of them will be complete trash... i agree the ps3 has a lot of potential but it is definitely not being used

its alright. tend to give gory games more love then they probably deserve just for the gratification i get,but overall its an average game. your typical god of war/heavenly sword clone.

the fighting gameplay can be frustrating at times cause the AI can be cheesy

so its not the best game,but definitly fun

i got it on gamelfy,wouldnt be worth a purchase in my eyes

In the gaming world, A company will make a game for the sytem with the highest User base, and then port it to the other systems. The Wii does not count in this situation, as it's specs are way too low to have Wii ports on the PS3 or 360.

Last generation, the PS2, while not being as powerful as the Xbox or Gamecube, had the highest user base, so games were made for that system, and ported over to the xbox and gamecube.

This generation, games are being made for the 360, and being ported to the PS3. But with all of the problems developers have with programming for the PS3, the games do not end up as good as they are on the 360.





Lee, you mention 3 games that you play all day for the PS3, one is a launch title, a mediocre one at that, and the other two are multi platform. For every single PS3 exclusive game you can name, I can name 2 or 3 360 exclusive games that are better than it.


Resistance - Gears of War, Halo 3, BioShock
Motorstorm - Forza Motorsport 2, Project Gotham Racing 3, Project Gotham Racing 4
Lair - Any 360 game, lair is fucking terrible.
Final Fantasy - Mass Effect, Eternal Sonata

It really amuses me how butthurt people get over this.
