See I was giving significance to your assumption of "playa-like" behavior. I understood you meant it as a way to reinforce positive behavior, specifically virtuous behavior.
What I was attempting to put across, though, is that many standards 'many', not 'all', black men adhere to are self-defeating, or have a negative impact on the community. Be a playa, be a pimp, be a raw dog, be a rogue, act in ways only uplifting to oneself, "get yours", and if it doesn't concern you, fuck it. Are they behaviors only specific to black america? No, of course not. But what is of discussion at the particular moment is the black community, specifically largely held ideals.
One thing you often stress is that black men are conditioned to be the way they are. This mentality could be a by-product of conditioning. Am I saying it applies to all black men, or maybe even a majority? No. But I am saying that there are many who see things this way, and until it is addressed, will continue to hinder the black community.
And call me an outsider, or ask me to quote sell-outs, but all that does is shut out a viewpoint, a potentially positive one.
