Yo, shit is gettin harder. Who do you think is gonna get a job, someone that has been in working/clean record/experience or someone with the opposite?
alot of people lost jobs that were in good positions, with good companies.
so it is gonna get harder. People that are in other industries are gonna flood what is in demand (work and school).
Hell, even some schools are starting to cut how many people can go (California) because budget cuts are happening. Less students, less staff, more money for the government.
--------------
There are a bunch of part time jobs here and there, and I know a few people that hare doing that, working 3 part time jobs just to get by.
Its not the end of it either. NO doubt we have more to come. I mean Adobe laying off, yahoo laying off, Dupont laid off, the auto industry is gonna soon, just because people cant afford to buy a brand new car. WAMU laying off, Airports are laying off, My former jobs like Boeing announced layoffs, Mikron Industries (window/building sector) laid off 60% off its work force, not to mention another company Milgard windows shut down 1 plant in Washington and is announcing lay offs too.
How many people have been laid off last year, atleast 1 million, and jobs are not plentiful.
Cost of living is still up, gas in going up now, who else knows what.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
But personally, outside of seeing alot of my friends and industries I use to be a part hurting, I'm actually doing okay. If I didnt further myself and was given a chance to work in a hospital, I would have been in a world of hurt. I was working as a mechanic at the airports and that took a shit mid 08 and even now. United Airlines laid off tons of people as well as a few other airlines.
