I'm so damn hyped for this fight. No one is going to be overmatched in this fight. Prime vs Prime. P-Williams wins UD or 11th round TKO. But I can see Martinez winning the same way. Just a very even fight all around. If you love fighting you have to watch this fight.

I've been so caught up with work that this fight totally slipped my mind.
So I agreed to go to my girlfriends, friends pot luck birthday tomorrow at 630pm.
Totally shot myself on this one.

I am praying she has HBO.

It's been pouring outside since early in the morning.
GF says it's too dangerous to go out.
No objections on my end.
I'm watching it in HD in my cozzy room at 7pm.

I will be pulling for Martinez, but I think Williams will take it.
I don't think we've ever really talked about it before but Paul Williams is one of the best adaptive fighters I have seen in a while. The guy picks up on styles really quick and is a master at changing his game plan in the ring. You can't pull the same trick on him twice.

He should take this one by a fairly wide margine.
117-111, plus or minus a round.

HERESY I will as soon as it's available.

Martinez is without question fighter of the year. Beat Pavlik for all the middleweight belts, then absolutely destroys paul williams. That edges out pacquiao's clottey/margarito.
Good lookin, comrade. How bad was the KO? I actually forgot about this fight until someone in the UFC thread mentioned he got KO'd.

it was crushing. brutal. williams took a left he didn't see coming, he landed straight forward on his face with his face first into the canvas, his body laid there motionless his eyes open the whole time but obviously no one home. it was kinda scary for a moment.

I feel bad for williams this was a weird fight for me in that I had money on martinez but I was rooting for williams to win as a fan.

I think the rule of thumb is if you are inactive for one year then you can or should be dropped from the rankings, so for the time being I think he still deserves #2, martinez #3.
