I don't really get how you can throw Pac, Big, Em, etc into the convo as if Royce could ever touch those people on the mic. You can say Bizarre from D12 is wack.... me bringing up other good rappers doesn't make him any better. And for the record I do think Nas is way overrated. I'd call Cube generic, but since he started that sound I can't.
i'm not saying that royce can fuck with those rappers but those rappers always rapped the same and mainly talked about the same shit so why do they get a pass in your book? all i'm saying is his delivery is not to be fucked with, his rhymes are top notch and he can stay on topic when he does some serious shit like "Part Of Me", "On The Run" or "Murder" and thats just off one album. i just think it's unfair for you to call him generic when i really dont think you know what your talking about, if he's generic then might aswell call all those greats generic too.

My point about the skinny jeans song is that he did a whole joke song based on some shit people don't even wear anymore. The skinny jeans line was on point two-three years ago when Cham got on it.
i work right in dowtown boston and maybe it's done over in manhattan or wherever your near but the shit is in full effect down here. and this song is exactly how royce is not generic, i mean it's a weird ass joke song that most rappers would be afraid to do but he just doesnt care, and he sings on the shit like an idiot. shit was meant to be put there for a laugh, kinda like the vagina song and spark your brain.

No joke, I can walk down the street in Manhattan and run into 5 dudes handing out vinyls that can shit on Royce. I mean, I'm not sayin the dude is garbage on the mic. He's kinda nice... But BORING as fuck to me. The beats are (most of the time) mid 90's Wu loops. There isn't anything about Royce that would make me look twice at dude.
well i cant argue there cause it's your opinion but i do highly recommend giving his albums another look. your missing out on some good shit In My Opinion

LoL. Just because Weezy wears skinny jeans doesn't mean anybody else does. He also carries around a guitar he can't play and tattoos his ugly grill. I don't see people walking down the street with useless guitars and tatts all over their eyeballs.

How long ago were the Killers popular?

I guess for once you guys are behind on the white kids. LoL. The last time I saw skinny jeans on a kid was at the mall, and (no joke) he had them pulled off his ass, like he was sagging skinny jeans. It looked more like he just couldn't squeeze them on and didn't have anything else to wear.

That's 3 minutes worth of time on a record that could have been dedicated to a real song.

Even your people in Manhattan who probably suck balls with their camron/ souljah boi dumb it down flow.
:ermm:

I'm from NY and I can attest to the fact that there are a hundred no name rappers there that can at the very least hold their own with Royce.
My opinion on rap isn't really worth much right now since I've moved away from it almost completely, but I think all of Slaughterhouse is overrated. They're not really bad by any means, but they seem like little more than glorified punchline rappers.

But who gives a shit?

sorry zero but now i know i cant win this arguement because u have absolutely no idea what the fuck ur talking about...fab dissed royce first and also called out detroit, proof, etc. theres a big story behind that...it's not like royce just dissed someone just to diss someone.....
I just saw this.. I don't need to know (nor do I give a fuck) about who Royce "beefs" with. If I don't like Royce, why should I know anything about his bullshit rap beefs.

Should I claim you don't know anything about rap because you don't know who the fuck MC Frontalot is? No. It's irrational to even entertain the idea. I don't know why you guys are so butthurt because I think Royce is wack like he's your fuckin' homie or something.

And dude. The only thing I know about Mr. Fab is that he had a banner on the sicc. Mister Fab is a fuckin' nobody and Royce and him are on the same level of "who gives a fuck".

Royce and Fab don't mean shit to rap music in the long run.

And what the fuck does Soulja Boy have to do with anything? What the fuck are you two even jabbering on about? I trust you didn't think I was lying about walking down the street and getting vinyls off of guys who rap all over Royce and all I have to do is trade them two smokes.

I mean that literally.

Yeah and he's toured with Prozak, S&S , and Project Fucking Deadman...

As far as who Tech puts on his albums, same thing. Check any collabos album and I'll show you an album full of features that suck.

Who the fuck has ever paid for a fucking mixtape?

I'm a little confused on your definitions of "mixtape" because the only real mixtapes I know about... the artist doesn't see shit from them. Certainly, Royce isn't getting money off the dude at the corner bodega selling burned cd's with home-printed labels.

Perhaps I've never seen what you guys call a real mixtape, growing up in NY and not knowing anything about rap and all...

And on the Lady Gaga sig issue. I didn't grow up with all the Tony Toughnut kids on my block telling me what is hot and what's not. I didn't grow up worrying about the repercussions of my tastes in the arts. I wasn't forced to listen to a certain type of shit because of the block I grew up on or what color shirt I'm wearing, or who I call my friends. I don't listen to hip-hop/rap because I grew up on the shit from when I was a baby. I got into it on my damn self because I like it, and I didn't give a fuck back then when people would tell me rap is just guys stealing music samples and talking over it.

Your statements are just as ignorant as dude saying "You can't spell crap with rap, hyuk".

I think it's a sad state of affairs when having an eclectic taste in music was a bad thing. I mean, seeing as how I can actually sit and listen to two artists that completely clash in style, and find positive things about the both of them, I'd be in a better position to tell you when something you think is the shit, is NOT. Why would it be a negative thing to have a broad musical knowledge, instead of "Well I only listen to gangster rap and if you like anything else then you don't know shit about rap".

I guess that means Tech doesn't know shit about rap either, being a Gaga fan and all.

for someone like you that can listen to two completely different genres or rap/hip hop/pop..etc...and say someone is boring is your personal opinion ...i understand you wanted to see how many people you wanted to annoy or offend by saying someone they like is not that good...there's is no reason to defend your statements..as there are no reason to defend mine...if you dont like someone..why go into a post about that person just to say so...even if it is in Strange thread..i dont care for wayne..doesnt mean if i seen a post about his album im here i will go into it..say..he's garbage...if you want to watch flames..stare at a lighter....hahah...arguments online dont go anywhere...both sides have their mind made up and wont be changed in the slightest degree...so im glad you like rock and listen to gaga....keep music alive by listening to what you like and stay away from stuff you dont..

Long story short... I can talk all sorts of music with all sorts of different people. Bringing up the fact that I like this artist or that artist to end your argument doesn't mean shit to me other than pointing out ignorance. My conversation was about Royce.

I wasn't trying to annoy anyone and I certainly don't have any problem with the Krazee's.

If you don't want to hear other people's opinions then don't log on to an internet message board, simple as that.

thats coo man i love when people are diverse in music and are not affected by those around them..and about my comments..i should have used better punctuation and put question marks in..but i was really asking why, not just you but people in general love to post there dislikes about something or someone in a thread or topic about whatever it may be..i respect your opinion and i am by no way trying to knock the way you think or feel about something...and about not liking the opinions and just not log on..haha i like reading both sides and seeing why someone does or doesnt like a certain topic..hell it's music...there are so many genres for the simple fact that every one person likes something different...again..my comments were not directly related to you ..just a general question on why..
