amazing album...dude totally invented a new, insanely elaborate way of rhyming on this shit...no other record sounds like "relapse"...that alone is an amazing accomplishment.

just when it looked like em was going soft, he comes back harder then ever...i dont think anyone saw that coming...dude says some wild shit on there thats sure to piss off alot of people...although i love it, i dont think this cd is going to have appeal for the masses...i really cant picture many (if any) femals enjoying thing album...

def. picking it up on the 19th though...deja vu, beautiful, bombs over bagdad, and underground are my favorites at this point

I'm gonna have to say that Dr. Dre's production has fallen off. I know it's not supposed to be a banger or anything, but damn, if you're gonna make a dark album, at least make dark beats to compliment the style of it. The production is so bland that I honestly can't recall any of the beats used on the album. All of it sounds the same to me. Em definitely saved the album with his weird but entertaining raps, but his style on the album kind of gives me a headache. It's a bit better than his old Shady voice, but it's still not too great. I can only take so much of it.

Overall the album is solid.

I see "4 mics" for this...

"Insane" shocked the fuck out of me, honestly! That definitely is a touchy and taboo topic, child molestation is something that should not be taken lightly, it is a horrible, devastating, disgusting, unfortunate tragedy that happens more commonly then it ever should. (Cause it shouldn't... ever!) When it comes to Eminem, we have to look at it like, every single solitary person is entitled to their opinion and expressing it as freely as possible. (That's why we have this board) Whether it be taking something traumatizing in a comical light or becoming suicidal and anti-social, it's up to the victimized individual. (In this case, as some of you noted, this ALL might just be a fictional tale)

Moving forward, Bizzy Bone has spoken out about this, as well as many other high profile entertainers (Jonathan Davis form KoRn for example). This is the proverbial "skeleton in the closet" that could come back to haunt and torture you forever...

With that out of the way...

The album is so different, the lyricism is superb, he has definitely "let go" and found a perfect pattern of rhythm. Dre's beats could have been a whole lot better as well, but the album bangs! The very last song "Underground" made me proud to be a Hip-Hop fan. I loved that track!

One thing that I have is that say is there's only 2 guests...

Dre's cool, hate 50, but why isn't D-12 on here? Or Royce The 5'9"? idk... hopefully the next "Relapse" we'll get a surprise with the guest appearances...

Ive killed 1 of my kids thru abortion, then had a miscarriage 2 years later when we wanted a kid that caused my ex fiancee to go fucking insane which lead to the ending of a 7+ year relationship

and as far as the sound of the album..it works out hand in hand...a few beats give me chills when i hear them....glad he put an album out....1!!

sonically it is the best sounding rap album i have heard in a long time.....ie.. since chronic 2001...who ever mixed this shit went the fuck offf.and. ..the mastering engineer is snappin!!!! "deja vu" is sic as shit and so is "insane"......its so fuckin crisp!!!
