Seeing how Nate is a complete idiot that doesn't seem to know SHIT about ANYTHING, I'd say this post is a clear reason to vote McCain.

Hey Nate, you sure as fuck don't strike me as the type of person to follow politics.... or any current events for that matter. You seem more the type to make up current events actually. Thank you for sharing your pathetically useless opinion once again, I had a good laugh.

Mccain's tax plan is naive He basically feels that when you give tax breaks to the corporate businesses and the wealthy that somehow out of the goodness of the ceo's heart, they'll give that extra money they have to their lower employees. History has shown this doesn't happen. Which is why you have the higher ups making millions while the others are still struggling. They analized both tax plans on CNN and Obama will continue to give tax cuts to people making 90,000. When it gets up to around 200,000 is when mccains tax cuts get huge to the people making this type of money.

That's a naive view of modern day economics and taxation to me.

watch the debate on September 26th and everyone will see why I'm voting for Obama- it will be overwhelmingly obvious who our country NEEDS
Fuck that mess. I'm registering to vote for my right not to vote. Whether you mindless types vote for Obama or not, someone will get elected. It doesn't make a whole lot of difference if 90% of the population votes. It always comes down to electoral votes in each state and more or less who the government feels will do the part better. Keep dreaming the fucking dream, though.

Obama claimed he will cut taxes for 95% of Americans. (The top 5% are not the middle class.)

In video at 2:20-2:35

Right, one just votes with Bush 95% of the tme

Try tax cuts for anybody making LESS than $250,000
95% is a bigger number than you thin because that 5% was on bigger bills where he broke from the party standard. I'd be willing to bet Obama votes along party lines 99.9% of the time.

I still have more research to do on Obama's tax implications, but from what I understand he's not offering tax "cuts," but tax "relief," which will consist of the equivalent of stimulus checks like Bush has done (which I think are worthless).

The standard Democratic line is that conservatives like myself want tax cuts for the rich and always use big business and CEO's as the arguement against them, but it really is about small business. This country is everyday becoming more reliant on small business for jobs and the implication here is that many small business owners are either in sole proprietorships or LLC's. When you are in this your business income is taxed like personal income. Take this for example...a small business owner may bring in $500,000 of income for his business, but take home $40k personally. With the democratic view on taxation he is taxed at a very high rate because he is "too wealthy" on paper. He therefore pays a higher tax rate and has less money to grow his business and create more jobs with.

That is why "tax cuts for the rich" can help the economy and jobs.

Electoral votes were created to make sure country folk like you have a voice. Without them the election would be decided by major population centers and the entire country wouldn't have a true voice.

-Start the damn drilling in Alaska already, find places for offshore drilling that arent in
the gulf coast (hurricanes) and invest in alternative fuels, diminsh the use of all foreign
oil in 5 years.
If either one of them would drill Alaska like a cheap prostitute, I'd vote for them.
I'd like to think that the drilling has already begun. My close friend digging those holes and laying the piping 6 years ago. The job was finished back in late '04. I'm certain they haven't let the site just sit there in hopes of ever using it. The gas game is a game of smoke and mirrors.
