LOL, so these Olympics already suck, its all Canada's fault. The Weather sucks (its raining and they had to import snow) An Olympian Died (3rd time in history, and They say cuz its one of the fastest tracks in the world, and was built not to long ago) and One of the cauldron lights didn’t work.... C'mon Canada figure it out!!!!!

I was also surprised to learn that California has more people alone than all of Canada! I also didnt know that 90% of Canadians live within 100 miles of the US border. thought that was crazy

Damn Canada ruined the Olympics again, just like they did in 1936. A very bad start for a great sports year.

It always rains in Vancouver, and they just put the bid in to host, the IOC chose to host the games there....Plus I thought the ceremonies were pretty elaborate except the hydraulic failure at the end..

the track has been around a couple of years already, not like it was finished last week....most of the first Canadian settlements are near the border because 1.) closer to trading with the usa and 2.) that's where our most important fresh water lakes/rivers run and they needed water to develop resources, it's not like they wanted to live closer so that some of your coolness would rub off on us...

how did i pop off ant johnson? As much as I respect Soco cuz he, like me, been around since BART....but dude posted an uneducated response with that typical american ignorance and I checked him, whats the problem?

Everyone is actin like accidents dont happen. Lugers do have the ability to control themselves and steer the sled. He made an accident and paid the ultimate sacrifice and it's sad, really sad. Anyone remember when Dale Earnhardt died in that Nascar crash? I don't suppose everyone ran around talkin about how he ruined Nascar forever......

I'm personally glad the olympics is in Canada. Whistler is one of the best places I've ever snowboarded in my life. I've been in love with Vancouver BC since I turned 19 and used to go there and party at gas town.
