Where is the option for STUPID ASS BEATS? It's all some techno-synthesized $hit these days. What the fuck ever happened to some RAW ass beats, piano, strings, guitar, basslines, just real shit. That's the real sounding shit that formed Hiphop back n the days.

You can't rap about anything worth while, if your beat is fucking WACK. Their just isn't no SOUL anymore.

To me it's DEAD and I honestly don't give a $hit because I don't see it changing anytime soon. It's been dead for a while now. I just rock the oldschool shit, it's good enough for me.

When Hip Hop became Hip Pop. When the lines between Rap and R&B blurred. When homosexuality and metrosexuality became accepted as part of the culture. When the funk left the music. When the musicianship became showmanship. When it became stupid and dumb. When it became all about club hits and new dances. When the gangsta left the west coast, the lyricism left the east coast, and the soul left the south.

Hip Hop died a long time ago. And I mean all aspects of it. Rap is trash. Turntablism became obscure and forgotten. B-boying is watered down. And taggin is only cool because there enough idiots willing to spend their allowances on a bunch of $105 shirts with urban designs.

Myspace, mp3's, and unique regional styles blending into eachother. Back in the day, east coast, west coast, down south, bay area all had unique styles,. now they all sound similar with just minor differences.

So far wack rap is in the lead, followed by payola, with hip hop ain't dead at a close 3rd.

Surprised no one mentioned a specific artist or the internet yet.

Maybe that's a good thing.

Agreed fully, and when clear channel took over.
