I should take I-5 Connection just to piss him off! But that would just lead to more DRAMA. So.....fuck it.

Somebody come up with a word like ESSENCE then.......because I like that direction.

@KALYN & SAMOS.....

....play NORTHWEST Hip-Hop & R&B from Seattle to Portland to Boise to even Vancouver, BC.
I meant as in the music we're gonna be playin' will be from these cities......not actually heard there. :confused:

The station signal runs from as far South as Kent-Des Moines.....as far East as Lake Sammammish.....and as far North as Edmonds/Mountlake Terrace. This is not a huge commercial station......but it covers the Seattle and East Side areas VERY WELL.

Thats cool, but you know once you get settled with everything, you should get a root so you can get it live on the net, so people from ALL OVER can tune in whenever they want, you know, it could be on the new Street Level website (if it get puts up) The big local station here in Van does it, thebeat.com , im not sure how they do it, but its probably really easy.

That way I can tune in, lmfao!

Northwest Essence is by far the best name so far. It may sound a a little feminine.......but we're looking for something with MASS appeal here folks. We're not looking for some dirty - grimy name......I don't want something as blatantly obvious as "rain".....it don't rain everywhere in the NW anywayz! Think PAST Seattle.....think PAST Portland......this is going to be a NORTHWEST radio show and will play NORTHWEST Hip-Hop & R&B from Seattle to Portland to Boise to even Vancouver, BC.

Which is why NorthWest Connections works well too!

I think Northwest Connection is too plain, I mean, its not creative or different, it was the first thing that came to my mind when read this thread, so it shows right there, even you (LadyLane) thought of it, and it probably didn't take much thought (i dunno you got it from my original post or not) I think its too ...how do you say, typical....

But hey, i think it sounds good.... but it also sounds like an album name, it reminds me of "westside connection"

HERES MY 2 CENTS

@D-SANE

How about

"The Cornerstone Movement"

The "slab" (Keeping our ears to the streets)

"16 bars" (where the streets, not the industry take charge)

The "206th Floor" (The Industry got hits, but the Northwest got more)

I still like "The Pavement" personally.....it has multiple meanings plus it was my idea and my ideas rock.

The word pavement insinuates: concrete, solid, paving the way, paving a new trail for hip hop, the streets (without saying the streets).....if you must add the region, you could call it "The Northwest Pavement".

"You've just touched down on the NW Pavement", "Keepin' ya ear to the streets, it's the NW Pavement", "Hip-hop our way, on the NW Pavement", "Street Level Presents: The Northwest Pavement", "You're on the grind with the Northwest Pavement", "You've found the birthplace of Washington hip-hop: The Northwest Pavement", "The NW Pavement, where the only thing we're slangin' is hip-hop"....

Image is everything....there are a million ways to go with this one. Take it or leave it. :)
