I was born and raised in Fremont from 66 to 92 then moved to Modesto from 93 to 2001, now I am in phoenix ,when I was growing up in Fremont u would'nt see any scrap sets the way u do now, one try to start up in Irvington and was shut down quick.
So back then that all the NorteNos had to fight with was each other it was Fremont against Hayward against Decoto against Newark and on and on, I would get hit up for my city not color.
NorteNos will always be outnubered and that's fine because there is a big difference on the way things are run on the inside as far as beliefs and the way you represent.

I know you know this but, that started 50 years before the 60's when the north and south thing was an issue. "South vs South that is how it is supposed to be" I say that because that is how it ALWAYS has been. No I am not claiming that it is sensible or that 13 vs 14 is any more sensible, it's just how it is.

^^i have lived in northern cali all my life... where i live there isnt gangs but im in other cities a lot and i would say judging by what i have seen i have seen more surenos.. and by graffiti and shit i usually only see sureno shit... only once and a while i see northerners...

looter what I meant is that it is varrio vs. varrio. exactly what you say, I just took it differently. and What martinez is saying is true, we nortenos tend to stick closer to prison rules than any gang period. That is why mutts left cause they said they didnt want to follow rules set by ppl that they never saw or had the probability of seeing. tell the full story though the scraps are in stupid places like outside of supermarkets, secluded parks, and in apartments with a police substation in them, plus their grafitti is more times than not in bullshit places like on canals, walls in the countryside, and in non barrio neighborhoods. Dont get me wrong I hate the fact that there are many scraps up here, but dont make it sound like they are riders or kicking in northern neighborhoods, they are in stupid areas that most non ghetto ppl hang out in. Please believe you wont catch them at carshows, known norteno barrios, tejano dances, rap concerts. They stay away from those places where they know nortenos or mutts, (fresno area) will be. so they can fool all you "dont know, get my gang info from what you see not what you live' type of ppl.
