8oz gloves favors Manny.
I don't think it should happen in Vegas either, unless they can build the temporary stadium.
The gates will sell out no matter where it is. Even if another state makes everyone pay the state tax, they will definitely make it up in the gate sales.

It looks like Arlington's Cowboys Stadium and New Orleans' Superdome are the most likely locales, while a proposal to construct a temporary 30,000-seat outdoor stadium in Vegas also appears to be a very real possibility.
wouldnt the vegas heat be a factor if that was to happen? bad idea.

Mayweather vs Pacquiao: Arum Wants Manny To KO Floyd

By Mark Vester

Top Rank's Bob Arum celebrates his 78th birthday this week. He only has one wish - for Manny Pacquiao to beat Floyd Mayweather Jr. on March 13. Arum is the former promoter of Mayweather. They had a nasty split several years ago and since that time the bad blood has been boiling over between the two.

Arum is hoping that Pacquiao not only wins, but wins with a signature knockout of Mayweather.

"I hope this fight will be a great fight and I hope that it ends with the referee counting 10 over Mr. Mayweather," Arum told GMA.

Arum says the fight is not only about money for Pacquiao. He says the Filipino fighter wants to eliminate any doubt on which fighter should hold the title of being the "pound for pound" best in the world.

"Is this fight all about money for Pacquiao? Naturally for professional boxing its just that were boxers want to be compensated," said Arum, who felt finally relieved after finally convincing Pacquiao to accept what boxing observers call the “Fight of the Millennium," Arum said. "But for Manny this fight is even more. This fight will eliminate any doubt on who the best pound-for-pound fighter is."

“I knew last time I took him to see the Cotto-Clottey fight, he (Pacquiao) said he wanted to fight Cotto. But I knew before, that he wanted to fight Mayweather. It was my job to get everything cleared out of the way. So it was done in the best possible terms."

yes manny is on a whole different level these days since the marquez fights i think he would finish him in a couple rounds... if he beats mayweather a great follow up would be to fight the winner of the williams/martinez rematch since we all know their going to fight again or the winner of mosley/berto!!

^^hopefully the rematch happens, but Dan Goosen (Paul's promoter) is talking crazy again, saying he wants Williams to fight Bernard Hopkins.

Now, hopkins is my favorite fight and all, but seriously the fight would likely happen at 170 and hopkins would be equal size as p-will and is a much better counter puncher than martinez. I think hopkins would actually score a knockout if that were to go down.

Goosen should look elsewhere, if not martinez go after one of the other belt holders at 154 (cory spinks or Sergei Dzindziruk).

I'm starting to wonder whether the fact that Floyd hasn't even faced an A level opponent in nearly 5 years will make a difference in this fight.

IMHO, the guy hasn't faced a top level fighter in over 5 years. And no, fighting Marquez in a welterweight fight doesn't mean shit to me. Marquez is not a top level welterweight.
