Jumbo Joe stepped it up though. He was aggressive in this game, as we saw with his fighting thru the holding penalty and feeding it perfectly to Heatley, and the little snow shower he gave Jimmy Howard. Pavelski is a beast right now, but Joe did definitely step up his presence in this game. Everyone played great, Demers, Manny Malhotra beasted, Torrey Mitchell was tenacious, Scott Nichol is the heart and fists of hockey. What a great team effort and I love how they quieted the hockey world for a night.
The only thing im wary of is the fact we caught them on a very short break between games. They were tired and are gonna have two days now to rest up. We MUST win this next one, to be able to have momentum to win ANY at Joe Louis arena. Also the first goal they got was a complete LAPSE on defense, primarily jed ortmeyer. We cannot affort to give up goals like that.
