the same thing happen to me last december. I noticed little blue lines running across my laptop and i went to move my screen and the whole thing went one and lines were everywhere. I took it to best buy where I bought it and was told the same thing that was told to you. I had the laptop for two months and that shit happened. The fucked up thing the told me it would cost me almost 700 dollars to fix my screen. The first thing that popped in my head was you can suck my fuckin dick. I bought the laptop for 500 and couldnt believe my ears. Luckily i found someone to fix it for 175 and had no problems since

The first mistake was walking into a best buy.
The reason I even went there was that I had (for years) heard so much about how great their warranties were. I literally said out loud, "Lets go to Best Buy, we can get a good warranty there".

I have a friend who bought his Xbox from there and he's had it replaced by them, with cash back, at least three times.

i might be outta the loop, but what the fuck is wrong with Dell.....
People just wanna hate. Plus they're angry that their computer isn't Passion Purple like mine.

HP has an automated restore built into the PC/laptop by pressing F11 before boot. First time you boot it up, it asks you to create your won restore discs if you want but you can always use the F11 option unless you fuck up your HDD.

With that said, viruses are because you suck. Learn how to use the net.

BSOD's are common for microsoft, regardless of manufacturer. I worked for both Dell and HP for years and HP is my jam. Best Buy and Circuit City (dead) sucked the hardest cock as far as customer service went. .... which in this case is a bad thing for end users.

Fuck Dell. They dont care much about their customers. They fully knew all the bullshit some of the centers were doing but werent trying to get any reports from the management on ANYTHING besides call volume and abandonment and shit. HP was all over it. They'd come down and drink with us few times a year, fly us (managers) out for training with real pros and shit. They have Tier 3 Case Managers whos job is to give shit away like damage control because 1 lost customer is worth 30 more people...which adds up fast when 3% of your products are defective and you sell millions. They understood what was important to their customers.

I notice that the power cord for this laptop is different than the last. The last one was hex shaped and this one is round... The receipt shows that the computer should be identical. I have to admit I'm new to laptops but I sure loved that hex head for some reason.

I've also noticed a bit of freezing from explorer which passes in about 15-30 seconds and only effects one window at a time, but I'm wondering what could possibly cause that considering the thing is 3 days old.

As in, "open each folder in new window"??

That doesn't seem to be the problem. It's like a phantom lag. There never seems to be any rhyme or reason behind it.
