boo the fuck hoo...
i reps the town, ion rep tha Bay! Y would someone prolly say this? Cause we got pride for our city... Same as if Mac Mall or whatever (for example) said i reps the crest, i dont rep the bay!... The fuck would it sound like if someone was on some 'I rep Alameda, i don't rep the bay!', or 'i rep dublin ion rep tha bay'? Cause the Town is known, tha V is known, tha Rich is known, SF is heated, etc., Sorry, but its just pride/turf 1st, 'Bay' 2nd...

It's funny cause some niggas feel left out of the mix, like it hurts em or makes them question the whole purpose, etc., jus my quik opinion...

That rep this, rep that shit has always been stupid to me.

For some reason I always think about the Miss America Pageant whenever I hear about somebody "representing". Shit is stupid - who gives a fuck where you from, make some hot music or shut the fuck up.

^^^ You rep the bay area in what capacity? What do you do that would cause anyone to give a fuck where you're from?
So you're saying you can't understand any kind of feeling of pride or fondness for where you grew up and spent most of your life? You're a robot or some shit?

Does ... not ... compute ...

Everybody is different - I didn't say I didn't understand the 'rep where you're from' thing, I just think it's stupid. Probably because I hear it sooooooooooooo much. Before, I didn't think anything of it, but after hearing that shit so much, it becomes cliche (to me anyway).

For me,it changes the farther i am away from oakland. For example if im in oakland ima rep the turf, and if im in like Vallejo, ima rep oakland, if im in houston ima rep the bay. Get it

really treal has a point....it is context dependent as far as what association one usually makes...........American in Brazil; Bay Area in NY, but sometimes i gotta just say Cali 4 the sheltered cats; The Bay down here IN SD; and Frisco when I am home in Yay
