thats cause Tracy IS boring as fuck. That's not in most of nor cal's caliber.

The only people who can truly judge are the people who have LIVED in both places, anyway. Visiting dont count... you cant visit a place like San diego for 3 days and think you got it in your head, same goes for S.F. or any surrounding town. Both nor cal and so cal have their ups and downs.

I would never live in socal, at least not near LA the traffic is a fuckin nightmare. Every time i drive through the LA area no matter what time of time no matter what day of the week i always get caught up. Too much gang shit out there too to deal with. If i was to move to So Cal I'd probably hit up Dago or in the high desert.

the peeps in diego were more out going ..also seen that it was a little more diverse than the l.a. area.....L.A. be on some "black vs brown" type of shit all the time...i got a lot of family in L.A. and some of them cant stand black folks..even had black fools muggin me and asking me where I'm from..once i said the bay ....their outlook on me changed quick as fuck tho...

Says the Super Duper Siccness poster that wouldnt understand my sig anyways by default.

I thought this was another battle of geography and not based on which music influence is better....

Let me put it this way best city in So Cal. = San Diego

Best City in N Cali SF

The only cities that have a lot of influences over the other. We both have a Bay we both have similar building styles, various diversity same living classifications....

Latino Rap scene wasn built in Southern Cali. During that time there were only a handful of rappers in the bay making moves. It exploded bigtime by the likes of Melo Man Ace, Kid Frost, Cypress Hill, the list can go and go. Northern Raza music is heavily influenced by turfs and ganglife. Theres not too many latinos on the lyrical tip. You'll rarely see a latino up here in Northern Cali with a backpack on listening to Hip Hop, hell even in a cypher circle. Another thing is Northern Latino Music is barely surfacing, meaning its gonna take awhile for it to mature. The lyrics are gonna get better ( im assuming) and the production is gonna be fire indue time. You give someone a keyboard and some production equipment and its gonna sound shitty at first but as he learns how to progress its only time he'll be able to craft his music. Shit we Latinos we have influences in all types of music.

Said it before, say it again:

The city of San Francisco is 100% doper than LA to me, it has more of a metro feel and less sprawled out like LA.

Socal has the Bay licked 100% when it comes to hoes, and beaches.

Take your pick, its apples and oranges, threads like this always get hella ugly!

SF has been the 2nd expensive housing market in the nation behind the Manhattan area, why build such a nice city that most people cant afford to live in lol

my 2 cents

Downtown, Pittsburg. Southeast Dago.
San Diego + LA ............ ( vs ) ................... San Francisco + Oakland.

thats what this boils down to.

no disrespect to the rest of the cities in souther cali and in the bay, but yall dont make the cut.yes, ive stayed in your city, and i know for sure.

lets look at some of the postivies and negatives, shall we? (keep checking this post, i'll edit alot)

San Diego (positives)
-THE BEST mexican food.
-Close to Mexico, you can cross the border and be in a different country in minutes.
-Beaches, as well, which are good in summer
-The weather is nice all year round.
-Expansive and growing (4th biggest city in the nation)
-Has many tourist attractions which breed new people
-laid back beach type attitude
-Gambling (you can legally gamble at indian reservations if thats what you want to do)

San Diego (Negatives)
-Small black population (somewhere around 8-11 percent)
-City issues (the border creates a gateway for drugs, 'illegal immigration' and terrorism, segregation, etc)
-High cost of living
-Horrible public transportation (but there are trolleys and high spreed trains that are effective)
-12am metro shut off of alcoholic beverages and 2am for bars/normal areas.

LA (positives)
-Nightlife, overall there are many things to do and go to
-Networking, theres record labels and movie companies and television shows that can help you get your gwap.
-Industry events and parties andsome mansion parties, which frequently happen
-Neighborhoods have some sort of character
-Expansive (LA is huge!)
-Grafitti
-Moderate public transportation

LA (negatives)
-Gangs, which spring on your ass randomly during your stay in many different way/shape/forms
-Crackheads/Alcoholics for some reason are alot more vigilant.
-Theres the "show out" factor. alot of people attempt to look cool at night time which leads to a bunch of drama.
-Police. world famous. will kick your ass, to this day.
-Cheesy ass raiders fans (a trait found in both northern and southern cali)
-Crazy mexicans. Home of it. youll see more of them here than in san diego. And they dont take lightly to newcomers.
-Traffic. you cannot escape it.
-Fog. if you live outside of LA, you know what i mean.
