I agree this a real big part of it. Look at Baby Bash. Bash used to rap about dirty hoes too, but then he made these love songs & blew up! I think Davina gots what it takes to make it, but maybe she's too underground & gangster for the radio right now. Some of the problem is the production like some have said. Some of these dudes are just trying to get out there tho & you can't blame them for trying, cuzz I'm sure they would love to have better production if they had the sources to make that happen.

From what I've heard it's a rare thing & I'm sure no1 meant it didn't exist, but that it does seem to help making those kind of songs some times. Radio ain't going to play the majority of what hbr is.

it's going nowhere because everyone and their moms wants to be a rapper. lets face it, only a good 1% can spit hard on the mic. i am a huge fan of tokztero, but the shit i hear from him nowadays is quite disappointing and frankly garbage.
it's also the fact that the game has changed for the worse i.e garbage beats, woeful flows, even more so as far as delivery, no lyrics lol etc.. it's literally some elementary shit; i can't fuck with that. with that said, i'm hoping shadow will bring a heated album. fuck the rest

Tokz was also one of my favorite rappers but the shit he spits nowadays is undecypherable like the rosetta stone. He woulda been good nowadays if he rapped like he did on "They do it my way" or on them Ghetto 2 the Barrio comps.

Norte Rappers would have to pull some 3 6 mafia kinda shit.They got the songs for the club that make it to the radio but you listen to their album and it's horrorcore/thug shit.

see, i don't mind his drunken style flow if it was occasionally that way lol. deciphering it is indeed difficult. what bothers me is everythign else really, which is sooo not drew like.
i can dig nortecalifaholic except for a few songs. best of drew was with drf and GUN. "norte" and "pano rojo" is classic to me.
