^ True story. Just sad that he was the scapegoat for what was just a shitty team overall, for the most part the past few years. Put him in the right system, with the right guidance and personnel, and he plays well. It's not rocket science.

It's mostly the fans who really don't know shit, who were quick to put ALL the blame on Alex.

How's everybody feeling about our #7 overall draft pick Aldon Smith?

We're going to see him play most of the game in our Nickel package this Sunday against the Lions, but I like what I see from him so far. Hasn't played OLB yet, but has been a pretty formidable force coming off the end, when he has played.

Vernon can, Justin Smith Can, and im sure Patrick could

1. Linebacker Patrick Willis is the NFC Defensive Player of the Week for his 18-tackle, 1-fumble recovery effort against the Bucs. It is Willis’ first such honor. The last 49ers defender to win it was Brandon Moore in Week 9 Walt Harris in Week 17 of 2006. Other nominees for this week’s award were Jared Allen (Vikings, two sacks and fumble recovery), Brandon Browner (Seahawks, six tackles, 94-yard INT return for TD), Chris Clemons (Seahawks, two sackes and forced fumble), Brian Robinson (Vikings, two sacks, forced fumble) and Jamarca Sanford (2 INT).

2. The 49ers offensive line as named the John Madden Protectors of the Week, in conjunction with Prilosec OTC. That makes the 49ers eligible for the 3rd annual Madden Protectors Award. “Last year the 49ers started two rookies on their Offensive Line and with a year experience they have become a formidable group,” Madden said in a release.

3. Alex Smith won the Samsung Next Level Player of the Week. He is ranked third in the NFL with a 104.1 passer rating.

have any of you Alex Smith haters jumped back on his cock yet?

I still see him as the same Ass Smith, but Harbaugh is doing a great job coaching him though...

the WCO will make an average QB look awesome....

but I am glad he's making right decisions on the field and not making stupid throws like he did last season..

Rex Grossman doesn't look very awesome.

You still have to be efficient and accurate. Give Alex some credit here, he's made some really nice throws for us.
