You could go either way with that car my dude.....

Me personally I'd put some chrome IROCs on that bitch(to fit the wheel well)......

Drop it a bit......

Paint(?)

engine tweaks...exaust.....

make it a looker.

Not just your everyday Nova.

At least its not the blu Nova that homeboy posted sayin it was the baddest Nova in tha Bay(sumthin like that).....(he tried tho)

That is no muscle car, sir. You've been bamboozled.
The body style is from the muscle car era and has similar aesthetics so id rather it didn't look like some 90s baby ronald mcdonald-mobile with some 20 somethings on it. I wasn't claiming it was a beast under the hood, i'm purely talking looks.

I'm aware it's from the 70's as is apparent with the body style. My best friend owns a 70 Nova SS with a 383 stroker, Weld Racing rims, and a Cali stance. That's a Nova and is considered a muscle car.

This car, however, only shares the body lines of one of the most prolific of GM's true muscle cars.

I agree with Duce. There's only a select couple of ways to handle a four door Nova such as this. If you do what my boy did above, then you got yourself one hell of a confused looking car.

Pro Touring style is another option you could do with the whole lowering and euroing the wheels and pancaked stance. A set of ten spokes, a dark, rich gloss-style paint and you're rolling pretty sharp.

whats pro touring style and whats euroing? The way i picture it in my mind is with pearl white paint and some wire wheels, but your right i dont want to look like its pretending its a runner, you think thats what that would look like?

@rosetown its a really dark burgandyish brown with black stripes, it could use paint, thats what im saving my pennies for next after i get the beat in.

Pro Touring style separates itself from a "muscle car" due to the often wild suspension work, ten spoke wheels as opposed to the traditional five spoke, and usually as low as you can go without completely flattening the stance.

Pro Touring:

Note the multi spoke rims and dark paint. I mean, dark paint isn't part of the Pro Touring classification, but I've seen more dark PT paint done than anything else.

Chrome strips are often painted the same color as the rest of the car, thus "deleting" any eye popping accessory features. The rims are often non-traditional colors like white, black, or silver and are usually pretty large with big brakes hidden behind them.

traditional Muscle Car style:

Note the smaller rims with big meaty tires and lack of body mods like shaved door handles like the Pro Touring shown above.

The chrome is intact the rubber/chrome door strips are still in place.

It's all in how you'd want to do you car, though. I've seen "hybrid" versions that mix both the classic muscle car style and PT together.

the Pro Touring style is essentially "Euro" in the sense that the non-traditional multi-spoke rims and the detail to the suspension work take precedent over the sheer power and lack of control a traditional muscle car typically has. Pro Touring models are usually a completely well rounded package of both power, style, and handling.

Real shit....all the suspension work.....and chassis stiffining that goes along with it.....countless upgrades(maybe)....

But yea PT would be the way to go especially since that car was not a major factor in that particular body style with the "muscle car" movement...I might be wrong

thats just my opinion tho due to the fact that you DO see 2dr versions muscled out...

this is cool but I picture the rims a bit bigger...

4th pic down on the left...the blu Nova...

LDS, Thanks for pulling my coat on that. That first cutlass is beautiful, and youre right that dark smokey paint is nice. Also I do like the wheels and the tires. I think wires would look great with that paint as long as they were subtle, maybe even black...

You have given me things to think about to do with the new ride.

In all actuality homie....

The body looks great from what I can see in the pic.....bein a detailer I would suggest a thorough detail of the paint.....clay, 2-3 stage polish(bring out the shine), and good carnuba/synthetic wax....

Rims of your choice....but NO BULLSHIT!

then that bitch would look 1000x better.

Anywhere from $100 to $300 depending on the detailer.....but I feel that would bring the paint out so much more....you'd be suprised.

I dont know much about bodywork....so I cant say much on that.

If the rust doesnt take up too great an area bondo maybe(?).....NO BULLSHIT JOB

It's all on what your willing to spend.

Hell...its a $900 car....potential to be much more than that.

Do you wanna flip it or mob it?

mob it. I bought this purely for enjoyment its not a commuter car or anything, I just saw it and was all over it. Just something about the sun starting to come out made me feel like picking up a nice little old school to enjoy the spring and summer in.

well....you can either bondo that rust....NO BULLSHIT JOB!....

or.....get those pieces replaced.....it's all on you...

Either of those may require a new paint job....depending on the skill of your person doing the work...

She got potential!

Just show us the pics of the finished work.
