October-November 2003 Gallup poll

is one that comes to mind. only i cant seem to find a direct link to it on the web. so here is where i heard about it
http://www.nationalcenter.org/WCT012004.html
Overall political philosophy: According to an October-November 2003 Gallup poll, 41 percent of Americans identify as conservative, 39 percent as moderate and 19 percent as liberal. A year before, the percentages were 38, 39 and 19; in 2001, 38, 40 and 19; in 2000, 37, 42 and 20.

See but this is saying that the Iraq war is the moral equivalent of World War 2 or some shit. No one besides the aging, dying neoconservatives in the Bush administration had any illusions about Iraq coming to attack us in some kind of "War of the Worlds" scenario. The Bush admin. actually contacted independent military advisors such as Tom Clancy, Mark Gere, and other experts with a few hypotheses of "Saddam attacks", like port sabotage and unmanned aerial vehicles dumping anthrax, etc. Their theories were called "science fiction" and often met with outright laughter...

If I signed up for the military, (which I thank myself for never doing...something I had always been wary of...) I for fuck sure would not want to go into Iraq and increase terrorism against the US worldwide. The Iraq war is not helping us, it is hurting us. I know this is a difficult concept for you tadou, to be able to disagree with Fox News, but it takes alot of gumption, kind of like learning to ride a bike. It hurts to think about...you're gonna fall down, but ya just gotta do it.

No one would have made a huge case of Afghanistan. It's interesting that Hamed Kharzai was an adviser for Unocal, but that's really nothing...big whoop, etc. Iraq was a useless war in which lives were wasted, U.S credibility was thrown out the window, and anti-US feelings around the world are now at an all-time high.

If I signed up for the military, and later got called in to invade England because president Bush said they had a Transmogrifying Poopoo Ray that could kill hundreds of thousands in the breadbasket states, you best fuckin believe I ain't showin up. Why? It's fucking bullshit, that's why. Exactly what Iraq was...fucking bullshit. Bush had Iraq in his sights days after 9/11, knowing they had absolutely nothing to do with it.
...WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU EVEN TALKING ABOUT? WHAT THE FUCK DOES ALL THE RANTING YOU JUST SAID HAVE TO DO WITH WHAT I SAID?

One example....Canada returning the military deserters to America...how the FUCK is that a Left/Right issue? If you sign up for the army, left or right, you go to war when you get called up. There are just as many noble Democrat soldiers as there are Republican soldiers, and deserters like these make ALL soldiers look bad
You have the attention span of a sack of hammers, i swear to God.

ONE FUCKING LINE of yours had to do with not showing up for service.....and ZERO LINES had to do with the moral responsibility of a soldier to fufill their duty.

You can bitch and complain and drip tampon blood all over the place about Fox News and Bush and this and that--I DONT GIVE A FUCK--but in "Tadou" world (and in most people's world), when you sign up for the military, and the country goes to war...YOU GO TO WAR. You dont pull a "white devil" and run away from the fight.

See but tadou the Iraq war was not a war of self-defense. It was a sham and a joke. Thus, I would probablk desert too. To you it's black and white. War = Go...but the Iraq war is in no way protection of our country.

@WHITE DEVIL
Soldiers != Philosophers (little piece of programming right there). When you sign up for the army, you dont make decisions. They should have known (and DID know) that ahead of time, but feel like being tools for Canada's ignorant ass. No wonder Canada is still a 3rd world country.

And dont bother with your tree-hugging scenario of inner-city youth being recruited, because in every NW city I've ever been in, I see recruiters on an almost daily basis.

That is very true tadou. Soldiers are paid to shoot and kill, not rationalize. That's why when everyone was crying "support the troops, opposing the Iraq War will hurt their feelings", I was telling them to shut the fuck up. However, if I was a soldier, and I was being sent to Iraq or France, or Argentina, or some other bullshit war, I would try to desert. With our official commander in chief running at near zero mental capacity, and making decisions based on an elderly cabinet of ideologues and a country bumpkin view of America, I would argue that his leadership is null and void. If Kerry, or maybe a different Republican, or some other president were in office, and we withdrew from Iraq, I would not support army desertion.

Because you are a coward, and like to cut and run instead of doing your duty. You're the type that would hang himself in prison, instead of living through it and surviving.

Damn....you people really are overzealous, ostentatious xenophobes.

If you're going to talk shit about O'Reilly, thats cool. If you're going to make a whole THREAD about it, the least you could do is provide the other side of the story.

Not even attempting to present the other side of the story = propaganda.....or PR. Take your pick.
Are we in a "no spin" zone?
