Liberalism and Conservatism have NOTHING to do with this argument. Everybody here should actually read up on what it means... It used to be about economics and how the money would be spent totally different than what this whole fucking political bullshit has devolved into. Now its all about social issues.

Have a fucking vote, democratically, and see how it ends up. I would think that forward thinking New York City would be able to choose wisely, but who knows I've been wrong before. I'm actually kind of supprised by the outpouring of sentiment from New York City. I know that they were devastated on 9/11, but usually they are the most socially liberal city in America.

I don't fucking care about these politics. I care more about the big shit than get offended about a mosque going 2 block from ground zero, or about abortion. Get over it and fix the fucking economics and the jobs, not to mention to class differences then we can get into the debate over small issues. There is no middle class anymore, why hasn't that been brought up more?

Politics bring out the best and worst of people, but now its getting worse and worse.

this thread just proves my thesis that Americans are spoiled and isolated from the rest of the world. If America wasn't separated by two major oceans we all would be speaking another language and have a completely different country.

If Americans had a better grasp on history they would know that tragedy's like 9-11 are minor in comparison to the innocent causalities throughout the worlds history.
I'm going to disagree with this. We're lucky to live in a society where people can debate about things like this and have a political process where a mosque / islamic community center can be approved for construction 2-3 blocks away from the largest civilian attack on US soil. There's a lot of places where the government would have censored and shut the idea down or citizens of one ethnic group would riot at even the thought of another ethnic group being allowed to do the same thing.

Passion is also a huge driver behind the anti-mosque sediments. This was a significant tragedy. Who are you to tell someone the tragedy is less significant or minor in comparison? It's a tragedy nonetheless, and it stirs as much emotion in some people as a tragedy does somewhere else.

I don't think you're thesis really applies to this argument.

So it's ok to categorize white people, but when it's done to Muslims it's a huge fucking deal with you?

cool post bro you should try switching it up though. You've already used it in about 30 threads.

We know everyone who disagrees with your beliefs is a dumb white redneck fox news watching nazi
