There are some homeboys from Deep who don't give a fuck about unity. There are others who will do anything for the Norte. Sometimes people tell me that foos from Deep think they're the shit. Basically, they are the shit. They eliminated all of their enemies. I don't know of any gang in the area that has been as effective in doing it as the Deep Southsiders.
But I have heard the same thing you're saying from other homies that are from the Westside and other parts of town. Some of them are scared to walk the Southside streets. Not because they are punks, but because they say that Southsiders don't give a fuck about Nortenos from other sets. I've heard of foos from the Westside getting smashed on in the OG and Deep. I know Nortenos from San Jose have been shot and beat down in the Deep for no reason.
But this gang injunction is the WORSE fuckin thing they could do. They don't live in these neighborhoods so they don't know how it is to be in the middle of a war. Right now the Deep is relatively peaceful. But during the eviction a few years ago it was off the hook. The shootings were crazy. Now every once in a while you'll hear about a stupid ass rival coming into the Deep and getting dumped on, but nothing like before when their rivals were living in this area. Putting this injunction on the gangs is going to open the door for rivals to move back in, and this neighborhood and the region in general will get a lot worse before they get better. At the same time, foos from the Deep are just going to setup shop in nearby hoods like the OG, Parklawn, Varrio, etc.
