A big ass chunk got taken out of Woodley's face from that elbow

Glad Woodley got smashed, dude's fights can cure insomnia. Even when he got Nate hurt all he tried to do was blanket him lol he went from rocking Nate in the 3rd to immediately laying on him not trying to finish, even got stood up less then a minute later from lack of doing anything.

Vinny Magalhaes Returns to the UFC

Dope to see Vinny back in the UFC, dude is a beast with his BJJ and was being wasted over at M-1.

One of MMA's most dynamic young BJJ standouts is returning to the big leagues, as Tatame is reporting that TUF Season 8 runner-up (and occasional BloodyElbow.com commenter), Vinny Magalhaes, has signed a new contract with the UFC and is expected to take part in the UFC 151 card on September 1st:

Vinny "Pezao" Magalhaes is back to the UFC. The light heavyweight, who lost to Ryan Bader on the TUF 8 Finale, signed a contract with the organization and is set to fight at UFC 151, on September 1st, TATAME learned with sources.
Magalhaes is the reigning M1-Global light heavyweight champion, but a very public dispute with the Russian promotion over his salary and contract led the Brazilian to sever his ties with the organization, and with the matching period M1 enforced for any potential offers from other promotions having just ended a few days ago, Magalhaes quickly signed with the UFC.

A well-regarded grappler with several high-level BJJ credentials to his name, including a gold medal at the 2011 ADCC tournament, "Pezao" is a terror on the ground, and since being released by the UFC after his initial 0-2 stint in 2009, he's racked up an impressive 7-1 record, with all of those wins coming via stoppage (5 by submission). Magalhaes was first introduced to UFC fans as a member of Frank Mir's team on the 8th season of TUF, where he finished all his opponents en-route to the season finale where he was knocked out by Ryan Bader. Most recently, Vinny has been in the spotlight as a BJJ coach for middleweight contender, Chael Sonnen, leading up to Sonnen's recent title fight against Anderson Silva.

No opponent has been named for Magalhaes's return on the UFC 151 card, but we'll update you as soon as that news breaks.

Lauzon vs. Varner is fourth addition to UFC on FOX 4 main card

The next UFC on FOX card again will feature four fights.

A lightweight scrap between Joe Lauzon (21-7 MMA, 8-4 UFC) and former WEC champ Jamie Varner (20-6-1- MMA, 2-1 UFC) will kick off UFC on FOX 4's main-card broadcast.

UFC on FOX 4 takes place Aug. 4 at Staples Center in Los Angeles. Former champion Mauricio "Shogun" Rua and Brandon Vera meet in the headliner.

In addition to the FOX-televised main card, which marks the UFC's return to network television, FUEL TV carries the prelims.

Back in May Varner got the call to return to the UFC to face Edson Barboza at UFC 146 on less than a month's notice. Despite being a heavy underdog against the unbeaten Brazilian, who had three straight "Fight of the Night" bonuses and a "Knockout of the Night" award, Varner took it to Barboza in the standup game and stopped him with punches in the first round. It was Varner's first win in the UFC since March 2007. He now replaces injured Terry Etim for his bout with Lauzon.

Lauzon looks to get back in the win column after a knockout loss to Anthony Pettis at UFC 144 in February. Before that, the well-rounded Lauzon was on a 5-2 run with four "Submission of the Night" wins and a pair of "Fight of the Night" bonuses in his two losses, which came at the hands of George Sotiropoulos and Sam Stout.

The UFC on FOX 4 lineup now includes:

MAIN CARD (FOX)
•Mauricio "Shogun" Rua vs. Brandon Vera
•Ryan Bader vs. Lyoto Machida
•Travis Browne vs. Ben Rothwell
•Joe Lauzon vs. Jamie Varner

PRELIMINARY CARD (FUEL TV)

•Cole Miller vs. Nam Phan
•Phil Davis vs. Wagner Prado
•Rob Broughton vs. Matt Mitrione
•Phil De Fries vs. Oli Thompson
•DaMarques Johnson vs. Mike Swick
•Josh Grispi vs. Rani Yahya
•Manny Gamburyan vs. Michihiro Omigawa
