Dope to see Vinny back in the UFC, dude is a beast with his BJJ and was being wasted over at M-1.

One of MMA's most dynamic young BJJ standouts is returning to the big leagues, as Tatame is reporting that TUF Season 8 runner-up (and occasional BloodyElbow.com commenter), Vinny Magalhaes, has signed a new contract with the UFC and is expected to take part in the UFC 151 card on September 1st:
Vinny "Pezao" Magalhaes is back to the UFC. The light heavyweight, who lost to Ryan Bader on the TUF 8 Finale, signed a contract with the organization and is set to fight at UFC 151, on September 1st, TATAME learned with sources.
Magalhaes is the reigning M1-Global light heavyweight champion, but a very public dispute with the Russian promotion over his salary and contract led the Brazilian to sever his ties with the organization, and with the matching period M1 enforced for any potential offers from other promotions having just ended a few days ago, Magalhaes quickly signed with the UFC.
A well-regarded grappler with several high-level BJJ credentials to his name, including a gold medal at the 2011 ADCC tournament, "Pezao" is a terror on the ground, and since being released by the UFC after his initial 0-2 stint in 2009, he's racked up an impressive 7-1 record, with all of those wins coming via stoppage (5 by submission). Magalhaes was first introduced to UFC fans as a member of Frank Mir's team on the 8th season of TUF, where he finished all his opponents en-route to the season finale where he was knocked out by Ryan Bader. Most recently, Vinny has been in the spotlight as a BJJ coach for middleweight contender, Chael Sonnen, leading up to Sonnen's recent title fight against Anderson Silva.
No opponent has been named for Magalhaes's return on the UFC 151 card, but we'll update you as soon as that news breaks.
