k-1 is not mma I would respect that monte cox and them boys would have put him in the ring with yves edwards than choi this guy was some oddity they found and like I said in the pervious post who would sanction this fight in the states with an athletic commission?

yes but K-1 heros is mma and u do know choi comes form a korean wrestling background before doing Kickboxing in K-1. But anways Fedor will be fighting top heavyweights in 08.

I want to see that match up to but fedor took the easy way out why would you sign with an upstart company that has no fanbase and I can't get the excuse that he wanted to compete in that sumbo bullshit, dana and company offer to make the top paid fighter in the ufc. MMA got fedor to what he is now not sumbo who gives a fuck about that all I'm saying is that fedor gotta fight a top heavyweight his next fight or I'm calling him a pussy I know it's hard to call fedor a pussy but come on folks this is the best fighter in the world fighting an oddity

M-1 is not a upstart company it has been around longer then you think it's based in russia nad has a russian fan base. Now M-1 is under american ownership. An If is was not for Sambo Fedor would not have gotten in to MMA His sambo skills made him the great fighter that he is today. Sambo is a national sport in russia and Fedor wanted to beable to compete while in MMA I don't see whats the problem with thata and their were other reasons that led to him not signing with ufc. It's pretty common for some MMA fighters to complete in grappling and strking to sharpen their strenghts in MMA. Have you even seen a Sambo match?

Choi has name value in japan so does Fedor now I think this fight was made because they could not find a top heavyweight. Randy is trying to wait out his contract, Josh is not competing till mid 08 and most top heavyweight are in the ufc. I do believe that M-1 will make the fedor Randy fight in 08.

mane stop matching excuses for fedor what's the level of competition m1 has at heavyweight for fedor, and you could still call m1 a start up today was m1 biggest show and it was nothing special it was pride lite without the pride name. I guess fedor will fight ben rothwell next another fighter that has proven he's ready for fedor I guess that why he didn't resign with the IfL and a monte cox fighter

Man calm your ass down and I ain't making excuses. This event that took place was not even a M-1 event it was supported my them. This event was more like a farewell type of event.

whatever make you sleep at night man. Does Brock lesnar vs Frank Mir ring a bell. Brock has only one mma fight aswell and is going to fight a former ufc champ but you don't see me bitching.

but what has frank mir did in the last 2 years mane, frank mir has not been the same since his accident and shit I aint bitching I'm just calling it how I see it fedor is the man fight now, that fight today is like floyd meaweather (sp)fighting a guy with his 2nd boxing fight how can you make this sport mainstream when the p4p heavyweight champ is fighting ameatuer (sp)

It does not matter Brock is a amatuer with one fight and Frank Mir has more MMA experience.But I do think that their fight will be interesting. While I do agree Fedor needs to fight top comp I still believe that his fight with choi was put on because of name value in japan. A fight in japan with to unknown foreigners is not going to sell pay per view buys just like a fight between to unknown fighters fighting in the ufc arent' going to sell pay per views.
