Keep in mind that there are a lot of politics involved with regards to reviews and game sites.

Not saying that was/is the case for IGN or Gamespot's reviews for MLB 2K7 but just puttin that out there.

Sometimes, you have to try isht for yourself (whatever your methods may be in doing that lol) instead of going on the word of a "reviewer" who may or may not even be a fan of the particular genre of game he/she is reviewing. I've seen it happen many times to different games.

If you read any of my posts in this thread, I actually bought the game, and I HATE IT! It sucks not being able to return this garbage. I've grown very fond of 2K sports, when it came to Football and Basketball. EA Sports makes the best Baseball and Football games, they only lack in the NBA games, but at least they put in effort. 2K Sports created great NBA and NHL games, but don't put any effort into their baseball games. AT LEAST, LET THE FINAL MLB GAME FROM 2K SPORTS FOR THE PS2 GO OUT WITH A BANG! This is sad, from that day on, I will do my best to sway consumers from buying any of your MLB games. It's a shame!

lol, Chill man. I'm not in here waiving my "I work for 2K" flag. I'm a consumer just like you. I posted some even tempered insight that some people may not have. My post wasn't even directed at you, it was just a "bare in mind" post to Heresy.

Really though man, it aint that serious lol

What don't you like about it? It plays really smooth... I haven't encountered a glitch, yet... The swing system is very good and actually tough to master.. The pitching system is nice and doesn't allow very easy pitching..

The game gets cheapened when you change options such as changing the hitting style and stuff... But, I love the way it's set up.. Hitting with the stickis brilliant, and easy once you get the hang of it...

This is seriously, a really good game.. I don't see anything bad about it.. Great graphics, great gameplay, great presentation, few glitches.

Maybe red sin didn't have the patience to get used to the swing stick... I know I didn't like the stick at first either, just takes some getting used to.

The pitching is flawless, simply the best pitching interface I have ever used, I love how the catcher will show you where to pitch, and even does signs and all that, that just blows my mind.

Only down I see is the fielding could be a little smoother...

So is the 360 version cool? With all these mixed reviews from you guys I can't tell if the complaints are coming from people with next gen systems or the ps2/xbox..

I have the 360 version, and can't speak for the PS2 version, but the 360 is FIRE!
i agree...

all my friends hated the batting system at first (mostly cause they sucked) but now its alot more natural.

we got 4 people going through a season right now with teams we each drafted. everybody i know that has played this game has been hooked. one of the most well rounded baseball games i have ever played

I love the Concept of the Analog Stick Hitting, but the PS2 is garbage. If you guys have a PS2, get a chance to rent this piece of shit, and play Homerun Derby, you'll feel like you're playing Ken Griffey Jr.'s MLB game for N64! The Ratings are ridiculous, the Fielding is crap, I feel Like I'm playing a PS1 game.

Yeah, I have the 360 version... Maybe the PS2 version is just garbage..

But the fielding was something I've had problems with, but i learned it better.. A few times I ran right past balls like, slow grounders, and even basic grounders.. But, I've learned that you need to run at them, and once you hit the spot, start running towards the ball.. Like, move your controller so your facing the ball better and stuff...

One gripe I do have besides that though is too many homers are robbed... Ichiro seriously stole five from me in one game..

The games better than MVP05 and the College MVPs, in my opinion... Best baseball game I've played. I'd give it a 9/10.

I got this and I think its good I still like MVP better but like lemon said the whole pitching interface has to be the best one ive ever used i love it. Im still trying to get used to the swing stick which i hoped theyd take out but if i had to rate this game id probably give it a 8.5/9 of 10
