had the same thought

we bring so much attention to race in every aspect of our lives and people wonder why racism still exists

im sure there are people out there right now who are misplacing there blame of this onto white people or 'the man" when in realty it was just a scared ass cop

i dont think racism was a motive in this tragedy

Racism does not have to be a motive but you have to ADMIT that police brutality is much higher amongst black and latino males and tension between whites and blacks still exsist- so that line expresses that. Sweeping it under the rug will not make it go away. Peckerwoods I beleive wouldnt be refering to all white people, but a particular segment of the population- the "WASPS. " I DOUBT the same thing would have happend if it was a white male. Like it or not we do NOT live in a post-racial country.

you make alot of good points but sayin that peckerwoods is only referring to a specific part of my race is bullshit

if i went out and said the word nigger all the time but tried to make it right by sayin im only talkin about blakc people who steal and use drugs and take advatage of government programs... i qould A. get banned from this site lol and B. probabaly get my ass beat
its a two way street

Fab is a good dude..Probably one of the most genuine people that I have met. He has a good understanding of life, reality and what's goin on in today's society. Being able to translate that understanding into music is not easy. FAB has no problem doing so. Im digging the track and take zero offense to any Peckerwood Statement. To me, Peckerwood describes a certain type of people, not a race. Once again, hot track!!!
