apart from the last 2 tracks i thought it was pretty good.

i never thought id say this but its better than anything chamillionaire has put out since get ya mind correct.

it is no way near gymc level, but like dude said above at least these are his own beats and his own songs.

Jones flows are good, his lyrics are trash, nobdoy is under the illusion he is a good rapper, but he put a decent album together.

i know thats your opinion and all... but i dont think Mike Jones will ever have a song or verse that will compete with anything Chamillionaire has put out... Cham shits on Mike Jones

But I bet Mike Jones album will sell way more than Chams. Mike Jones has a gimmick that Consist on repeating lines and saying his name and number. Thats What makes his shit original and tight. I love the album its banging from begining to start.

aight....here goes:

this album...is better than what i expected...honestly..

i give it a solid 6/10...
.7/10 would be to much and 5/10 would be not enough...

the thing i hated....was that Swishahouse really showed they have little faith in Mikes ability to write "good" songs....
i say this cause there are 3 songs...on this album...that have been on previous album..

Still Tippin - Day before hell broke loose 2
sewed up - Day before hell broke loose 2
cuttin - First Round Draft Picks

...that to me is whack as hell...
these songs are 2-3 yrs old....and they are using them..
I know some havent been on the whole Texas scene like me...
but if you listen to his lyrics...and some hooks...you can tell he wrote these long before
"my album coming soon".....<-----doesnt sound good anymore

beats....overall goo production i thought..

dopest song - know what im sayin (Bunb and lil Keke)

wackest song - grandma (come on dude, dont sing when you can barely rap)..

6/10

Maybe because of the success of still tippin... but i guarantee a followup album wont sell shit after people hear this one. Cham still might outsell him though.... the track he has with banner is tight and you have to remember he has been working with storch who has made many many hits.

Cham has better word play and better lyrics than Mike Jones, nobody would disagree, but since gymc all cham has done is drop mixtapes on other peoples beats, i thought the mixtape messiah was garbage, i felt like id waited all that time for nothing. I know cham can pull something tight out the bag but until that point this jones album is better than mixtape messiah, chamilitary and controversy sells.

The gimmicks work, its self promotion to the highest degree, but more than anything else its fun and entertaining, i really dont give a shit how many metaphors and references a rapper can squeeze into 4 bars and neither does mike jones lol plus the recycled tracks work better on his album than they did on the original compilations

best track - screw dat

Damn, i was watchin Mtv for awhile.. yeah i know.. anyways, i watched about an hour of it.. they had at least 3 comercials for Mike Jones.. i mean nothing that Swishahouse put out.. this was done by MTV.. it was like MTV at the 10 spot or something.. they had like mike jones as pacman and shit, then they had one with a phone book skimin through the pages and stops at M. Jones.. they open it up and has his phone number.. damn i would have never thought MTV would cater this much to him.. I gotta give him props for that.. they helpin him sell units.. he musted of really asskissed or somethin, lol.. anyways i gotta give props to him.. they have this on the mtv site. it has internet feeds of Still Tippin regular version, screwed & chopped and Paul Wall preforming "Sittin Sidewayz"

I think mtv support would be more to do with Warner's input rather than mike jones or swishahouse.

this album is WAY better than i expected. i'm not gonna compare anything to Cham just yet since Cham has yet to drop a full solo. i've heard cats that i loved on mixtapes and on their solo albums their shit comes out trash (i.e. Pitbull). we'll see ..

So....becus the beats on his album are dope...that makes him a good MC????
Just what i was thinkin... i think the beats are great... but the songs are just terrible. Still to this day im confused at how people talk down on chamillionaire for not havin a cd on original beats. He isnt a producer so none of his beats are ever gonna be his... i dont see the big difference if it is a mixtape or a solo. Im rambling so i will leave it at that.

THE CD IS HARD. EXCEPT FOR HIM PUTTIN "STILL TIPPIN" & "SEWED UP" IS A REMIX WITH A BEAT FROM DJ PAUL & JUICY J, BUT THEY'RE ON THERE FROM "MAJOR W/O A MAJOR DEAL" AND THAT'S FROM 2003, SAME WITH THE BEAT FROM "CUTTIN", JUST THE SAME BEAT, DIFFERNT LYRICS. THEN HE SHOULD'NT HAVE SUNG THE SONG ABOUT HIS GRANDMA. THE CD IS HARD DESPITE THOSE SONGS. THE SCREWED VERSION IS HARDER THAN THE REGULAR VERSION. IT'S WORTH THE $9.99 THOUGH.
