yeah kobe is the best player is what i said first. but when you add in certain aspects of the game he falls out of that top spot. aspects that are essential to producing a winning team. sorry if you cant comprehend. if he had leadership skills and better character he would be the hands down best. no argument from me there

statistic wise, I think lebron is the best.. outside of statistics, everyones gonna have their own opinion. of course laker fans are gonna think kobe is. suns fans think nash is. spurs fans think duncan is, etc..

exactly how do you know what kind of leader he is on the court? are you out there listening to what he's telling his teammates? contrary to what you think, and it's actually been noted by many analysts especially when he's mic'd up during games, he's actually been very encouraging to his teammates this year. whether it be just giving them helpful hints or encouragement when they need it, he has improved that aspect of his game/character alot.

edit: i just realized phil said that, so i don't know why i even bothered typing that...there's no way he's going to come back with anything intelligent so i probably just wasted my time.

Those are all biased opinions, though.

I'd estimate that roughly 70-80% of "analysts", "experts", and even players and coaches agree that hands down Kobe Bryant is the best player in the world. That's a fact.

yeah he is the best player but once again, if you listed the top ten leaders or character guys in the league kobe would be somewhere around 288. maybe he is improving this season but 40 games doesnt erase a career of being a poor teammate.

kobe is as jordanesque as we'll ever see playwise, but jordan elevated the play of all his teammates whereas kobe hasnt quite been able to do that. lebron shits on kobe in the leadership department and not only that if you look at where lebron is compared to where kobe was at with the same amount of time in the league lebron shits all over kobe. and its only going to get better. (or worse if youre a kobe fan)

good leader? a good leader wouldnt have pulled the shit kobe did in the offseason. a good leader would have meant shaq retired a laker. thats a good leader. a good leader motivates and inspires. sets an example. look at the pistons. look at the spurs. look at the celtics. theres no "me" guys on those teams. kobes nickname is ko"ME".

please tell me kobe was as good as lebron at this point in his career. you cant. because he wasnt. lebron is the air apparent. kobe should have been but instead he should be doing commercials for diaper rash ointment and pacifiers.
