Bro, since Floyd became number 1 p4p and stayed 1 p4p everyone has been gunning for him. You have people asking and begging for Hopkins, GGG and Ward to drop down in weight just so they can fight the guy. NO ONE was ever lining up to fight Pac like that and it wasn't because they are scared of Pac.
No one was lining up to fight Pacquiao are u delusional or have a bad memory? You don't remember Shane Mosley begging for a Pacquiao fight after he KO'D Hatton even saying he'd go down all the way to 142 pounds?? Pacquiao then fought Cotto instead, and Mosley ended up fighting Mayweather not long after.

Anyways, looks like the Arabs are popping up again :

Mayweather-Pacquiao: UAE Group Make Huge Offer
Mobile Version Click Here To Email * Search BoxingScene Database*

An investment group from the United Arab Emirates has made an offer to Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Mayweather Promotions to fight Manny Pacquiao during the first half of 2015.

Long-time boxing executive M. Akbar Muhammad, one of the principals in the group, has made an offer of $110 million, by far the largest in the history of boxing.

“I’ve been instructed by the group to do whatever it takes to bring this long-awaited and eagerly anticipated fight to fruition,” said Muhammad.* “There’s absolutely no doubt that each fighter, individually, will receive more money than any other boxer has in the past.

“The combined purses offered are approaching $200 million,” said Muhammad.* “And, rest assured, we have the resources to do just that.”

In addition to receiving a record-setting purse, Mayweather Promotions, LLC will be the lead promoter of the event and a partner with the investment group, said Muhammad.

Muhammad added that he and the group desire an on-going relationship with Mayweather Promotions.

"We want to be a part of Mr. Mayweather’s historic march to 50-0, no matter where the fights may take place, “said Muhammad.

“We also envision that future fight cards in this part of the world, regardless if Mr. Mayweather fights on them or not, will be done with Mayweather Promotions as the lead promoter,” continued Muhammad.

“There is no ambiguity nor conjecture about the ability and motivation of this group,” said Muhammad.* “That’s evidenced by the purse amount and the promotional involvement.

“The funding is in place, and because of this and the group’s unique and distinctive make up and backgrounds, it has emerged as the leading and most serious group striving to secure the bout,” said Muhammad.* “All this is the result of three years of effort on the part of many persons.”

The date of the card is expected to be during April or May of 2015.

Various elements pertaining to the card, including marketing, infrastructure and the undercard bouts, among others, are under discussion with the involved parties, said Muhammad.

Ancillary events in association with the card will include a live concert plus a tribute to Muhammad Ali, who has Tweeted, “This is a fight I want to see.”

Several functions to benefit non-profit organizations and charitable foundations also are scheduled.

“We are committed to creating a week-long event on an international stage, the magnitude of which has never been seen,” said Muhammad.*

Muhammad, president and chief operating officer of Akbar Productions, LLC of New Jersey, has extensive experience in all phases of boxing.* He has managed five professional world champions; guided two Olympic gold medalists; and produced world championship, internationally televised boxing cards in more than one dozen countries.

“I began my boxing career working with Muhammad Ali, the greatest of all time,” said Muhammad.* “Now I’m coming full circle, hopefully, to work with Floyd Mayweather, the best ever.”

No, the bay area is again posting stuff not being clear at all. That is not something Pacquiao said about the current negotiations that's some quote from years ago.
Haha...but remember in your earlier post you said I was putting words in Pacquiao's mouth...so I gave a quote straight from his mouth at that time period...further pressing the point that it wasn't Arum...it wasn't Roach or Kontz that was the stumbling block...nor was it Mayweather or Scheaffer...it was Manny Pacman Pacquiao who was afraid of a bigger Floyd Mayweather. 24 days out from the fight and this guy didn't want to be tested lol!!! This was his first quotes before the additional flood of non sense came crashing in from his whole camp about "Floyd is not the commission" "We won't let him bully us" "We don't need Floyd" "Tell Floyd to go fuck himself" "I am suing Floyd Maweather Jr for defamation of character" could you imagine Bernard Hopkins saying any of his stuff?

I remember Bernard Hopkins physically attacking Jean Pascal when he asked for additional testing and accused him of using PEDS, you don't remember the press room brawl? lol bad example.

My point was u just randomly said a quote and it wasn't clear at all in what regards you were quoting, so it's confusing to follow what the hell you're trying to say (thus CZAR thinking that's something Pacquiao just now said). There needs to be clarity, which can easily be done if you use the quote feature of this website. If you want to respond to something in regards to 2009, simply quote my post man its not that difficult, otherwise the thread is scattered all over the place making it impossible to have any decent conversation.

Floyd Sr. Not Sure Why He Was Threatened Over Manny

By Edward Chaykovsky

A few months ago, Floyd Mayweather Sr. found himself in some hot water. The trainer did an interview that became viral on the internet. The trainer told a newspaper that he confidently believed a fight would happen between his son, Floyd Mayweather Jr., and Filipino superstar Manny Pacquiao.

Following that interviews, Mayweather Jr. did his own interview and issued a public threat. Mayweather Jr. made it clear that if his father continued to discuss his business in the press - he would be swiftly replaced with a new trainer.

"I don’t know why in the hell that was, but it’s his business and I’m not really gonna get into it. That’s his business, whatever he wants to do. If he wants to fight Pacquiao or if he doesn’t want to fight him, that’s on him," Mayweather Sr. told On The Ropes Boxing Radio.

"There was something that was written up in the paper, I don’t know what it could be about. I don’t even know what it was about to be honest. It was nothing that contained to me because if they’re gonna fight, they’re gonna fight. That’s on them. I didn’t say a damn thing wrong about nothing."

Man, I seriously doubt any major fight of this magnitude ends up in the middle east, but they're making it pretty difficult to turn that money down dude.

I think Jerry Jones is making a serious push for this fight too. I wonder how much money casino owners would be putting up to host the fight. Mathematically it doesn't make a lot of sense to hold this fight in a place that can hold like 17,000 people when there is a location that could do 100,000+ for the biggest fight ever. Pacquiao drew 50,000 for CLOTTEY.

After defeating Broner, Maidana wanted either Floyd or Manny. Cuz of the "cold war" he got Floyd. Before the rematch, Maidana said if no Floyd or Manny, he will retire. He got Floyd again. And right now, Maidana wants Manny if not he will take his time on a return. If Maidana, Khan, Thurman, or Broner weren't under Haymon, Manny would have fought them along time ago. All those guys want both fighters alike.

One person lining up to fight Pac? LOL. My point exactly one person but everyone and their momma is trying to get a Mayweather fight.
That's not true man, Broner is really the only dude that wants to fight him. The other dudes might be under a gag order by Haymon too man. They know damn well they're not gonna get that fight anyways. I think Garcia would love to fight Pacquiao if given the chance, as would Guerrero, Porter, Thurman, etc... But they have no shot at getting the fight as it stands. People aren't exactly getting paid big money to fight Mayweather anymore.

They very well could be. I mean Floyd nearly fired his own dad for saying to the media he thinks he should fight Manny next. That's crazy to me, insane.

I never know what to think of the stuff Floyd does publicly. If you look at the videos of his interviews when he was younger, he was a humble and respectful dude at times. Once he got to PPV level with the Gatti fight, he embraced the trash talking and "bad guy" image and it's worked very well as far as creating interest in his fights because people want to see him lose so badly. A lot of the stuff in public I question, like firing or arguing with his dad. But then again, he's a piece of crap judging by the stuff that happened privately and ended up being released to the public so who knows?

If Floyd is scared then why is he discussing fighting Pacquiao twice with the winner of the first fight getting an additional 20% in the rematch? Doesn't seem like someone is scared, seems pretty confident to me.

Manny Pacquiao Next Fight: Floyd Mayweather Will Beat Pacman, Marquez Says

"Maniatis also told the Manila Standard that Mayweather, who has reportedly demanded a rematch clause, wants the winner of the first fight to get an additional 20 percent of the revenue in a rematch."

The ball is in Pac's court. Floyd is demanding a rematch clause with the winner getting a 20% bump????????? Come on man. I said a year ago that it would make sense for his last two fights to be against Pac but I didn't expect the money to be this crazy. Manny needs to accept the deal and go. Biggest fight for both of you, biggest payday for both of you, yet one person is flip flopping.

Agreed. I was pulling for Ortiz when he fought Floyd because Floyd disrespected Floyd Sr. I truly didn't like it. My pops passed away, your dad is still living, you want for NOTHING, so you can't patch up whatever issues you have with him and move forward? Not cool. But all of that went out the window when Ortiz went Super Mario. I switched quick, lol.
