I admit P aint the same as he was. but he did turn alot of folks onto cats like lynch, C-bo, Cougnut and then he signed alot of bay folks too. Big Ed, Lil Ric, Steady Mobbin so ya'll can hate all day but you gotta admit he did his thing though

Those westcoast bad boyz compilations were the shit. Him, Diddy, and Simmons, are the only entrepenuer hip hop cats to make a fortune. I think he was the first dude to start a clothing line in hip hop that was successful. Him or Diddy I'm not too sure. He's an ultimate hustler.

I was on the No Limit bandwagon, so of course I bought West Coast Bad Boyz 2 and that is how I was introduced to bay music. I loved that 11/5 song, Cellski song, and Mac Dre song, so I have to thank Master P for introducing me to real bay and northern Cali music.

As for Master P as a "musician", he is probably the worst rapper ever (everything after Ghetto D). I would never buy another Master P album.

Master P aint did shit. He just made a lot of money and kept a good roster on his label. He cant rap and his tightest bay shit was his bay compilations. He stole the game from the bay and ran wit it in the N.O. and made his money. The indepedant game was already strong out here. Rappers like mac dre was already out before P, and we already had niggas wit major deals out here before P (Spice 1, Too Short). The nigga stayed copying someone (40, pac) Stole gimics like the icecream man. The only reason why that nigga iz as big as he his is because he exposed a market that the nation did'nt have on a major scale and thats the N.O.
