IM ON THE FENCE WHEN IT COMES TO HAVING THE RIGHT TO BARE ARMS...CAUSE OF DUMB FUCKERS LIKE THIS.

BUT I ALSO KNOW THE GOVERNMENT WILL TAKE THE GUNS AWAY WHENEVER THE FUCK THEY WANT...

CIVLIANS WITH GUNS TAKE MORE OUT ON EACH OTHER. THEN THEY DO THE CROOKED POLITICIANS,COPS,FAT CATS,OR THE PEOPLE WHO DESERVE TO GET IT.

ME PERSONALLY...I THINK AMERICANS ARE ALLOWED TO HAVE FIREARMS JUST TO GIVE US A FALSE SENSE OF SECURITY.

MOST AMERICANS DONT HAVE THE NUTS TO STAND UP FOR WHATS FAIR ANYWAYS...OR ELSE THIS COUNTRY WOULDNT BE IN THE FUCKED UP SHAPE IT'S IN

•"If cowardly and dishonorable men sometimes shoot unarmed men with army pistols or guns, the evil must be prevented by the penitentiary and gallows, and not by a general deprivation of a constitutional privilege." - Arkansas Supreme Court, 1878...

Gun control does not work. Mexico has extreme gun control and has had more gun related deaths than Iraq and Afghanistan combined. States like Texas that allow people to carry firearms have less crime and murders then California that all but bans guns....

WASHINGTON—Americans across the nation confirmed today that, unfortunately, due to their extreme familiarity with the type of tragedy that occurred in a Colorado movie theater last night, they sadly know exactly how the events following the horrific shooting of 12 people will unfold.

While admitting they "absolutely hate" the fact they have this knowledge, the nation's 300 million citizens told reporters they can pinpoint down to the hour when the first candlelight vigil will be held, roughly how many people will attend, how many times the county sheriff will address the media in the coming weeks, and when the town-wide memorial service will be held.

Additionally, sources nationwide took no pleasure in confirming that some sort of video recording, written material, or disturbing photographs made by the shooter will be surfacing in about an hour or two.

"I hate to say it, but we as Americans are basically experts at this kind of thing by now,” said 45-year-old market analyst Jared Gerson, adding that the number of media images of Aurora, CO citizens crying and looking shocked is “pretty much right in line with where it usually is at this point." "The calls not to politicize the tragedy should be starting in an hour, but by 1:30 p.m. tomorrow the issue will have been politicized. Also, I wouldn’t be surprised if the shooter’s high school classmate is interviewed within 45 minutes."

"It's like clockwork," said Gerson, who sighed, shook his head, and walked away.

According to the nation's citizenry, calls for a mature, thoughtful debate about the role of guns in American society started right on time, and should persist throughout the next week or so. However, the populace noted, the debate will soon spiral out of control and ultimately lead to nothing of any substance, a fact Americans everywhere acknowledged they felt "absolutely horrible" to be aware of.

With scalpel-like precision, the American populace then went on to predict, to the minute, how long it will take for the media to swarm Aurora, CO, how long it will take for them to leave, and exactly when questions will be raised as to whether or not violence in movies and video games had something to do with the act.

The nation's citizens also confirmed that, any time now, some religious figure or cable news personality will say something unbelievably insensitive about the tragic shooting.

"Unfortunately, I've been through this a lot, and I pretty much have it down to a science when President Obama will visit Colorado, when he will meet with the families of those who lost loved ones, and when he will give his big speech that people will call 'unifying' and 'very presidential,'" Jacksonville resident Amy Brennen, 32, said, speaking for every other person in the country. "Nothing really surprises me when it comes to this kind of thing anymore. And that makes me feel terrible."

"Oh, and here's another thing I hate I know," Brennen continued, "In exactly two weeks this will all be over and it will be like it never happened."

mexicos gun related violence is a direct result of americas lack of gun control.cartel members easily buy their weapons on this side of the border.
YEAH OPERATION FAST & THE FURIOUS PROVED THAT.

MAYBE IF THE GOVERNMENT DOES THREATEN TO TAKE AWAY GUNS, THE PEOPLE WILL FINALLY START DOING SHIT.

MAYBE IT'LL BE THE STRAW THAT BREAKS THE CAMELS BACK.

I DOUBT IT THOUGH

^why should offenders families suffer for their mistakes?
It's simple. We should adopt shared culpability, torture and other methods as a deterrent to these type of actions.

Let's say you get a DUI, should your family pay an extra fine for your own fuck up? or have them take DUI classes with you?
Fam, you're comparing Malum prohibitum (which is what we make illegal/wrong/prohibited) to Malum in se (to what is inherently evil or wrong.) Knowing this I can't answer the question because you truly are comparing apples to oranges.

We all decide our own faith and build our own path's ..nobody else but you should face the consequences for your own fuck ups..
I've addressed this in my first sentence. Also, if we were in a third world country, this guys family would have already been executed or would be on their way to being executed. If this were early america this fool would have been killed by now and his folks probably would be eating bullets also. Now you can argue that we're civilized, or we do things differently now, but my premise is thar we need shared culpability, torture an dother methods to prevent this type of shit.

.

I disagree with you on this one...so you'd be okay if your whole family (including kids) get tortured for a heinous you have committed?

It's pretty much the same as "shared culpability" as you put it...

When these type of things happen in 3rd world countries, their families don't get executed...but the person that committed the crime does, by the police or the hands of a citizen ...

Even in the early days in the united states families didn't get killed when their family members committed ugly crimes..

Im not so sure driving while intoxicated would be considered malum prohibitum.

Also, first youre saying we should be separating crimes into the malum prohibitum and malum in se categories then you seem to support third world ideals. A fundamental aspect of separating crimes into these 2 categories is the fact that it is done by a civilized society. If the laws and shared culpability worked so well in third world countries, why are people still committing inherently evil acts in these countries.

Where do you draw the line on shared culpability? Does the family receive the same punishment as the offender? Immediate family only or immediate and extended family? What if you were adopted, is it your legal guardians or biological parents? Does it matter when you were given up for adoption and when you were adopted? What if you grew up in a orphanage until you were 10, should the orphanage be punished as well as your adopted parents? How would one go about punishing family that lives in another country from the offender?

Until we figure out a way to predetermine who will grow up to be a murderer or rapist or whatever, people will keep committing these crimes. Making peoples families pay wont eliminate these types of things.
