This was such an amazing fight I'm not sure I know what to say. The point deduction ended up being HUGE. I didn't think the punch that got the point deducted was that bad, but he should've probably gotten a deduction earlier in the fight... And I don't know how the judge that gave it 114-111 to Marquez. It was extremely close but I think Israel did enought to win. The ref probably should've stopped the fight in the 12th but I could tell he didnt want to because that's not the ending this trilogy should've had...

Wow. Just wow. This will definitely be the 2008 FOY.

Without a doubt .. one of the dopest fights I've seen in a minute and one of the greatest trilogies I've seen. Both of these guys will have their place in boxings hall of fame and they both deserve it without a doubt.
yeah, I think this goes down as the best trilogy i've seen. And the crazy thing is I'd love to see part 4, and they might actually do it eventually

I agree with the refs decision of not stopping the fight in the 12th round. You don't want to have another Taylor/Chavez I incident. Even it was at any other point in the fight I would've agreed with a stoppage but with only seconds left in the bout Marquez deserved to finish the fight on his feet.

I had it 113-112 for Marquez...I had a larger margin until the last 3-4 rounds.

He should have stuck with his straight right...it was working pretty well for him when he used it.

The point deduction for the low blow was bullshit, though; it was on the beltline, and the previous warning was also on the beltline, and the ref was in no position to call the foul or give a warning. He was reacting to Vasquez' reaction. Oh well, that's life.

The fight SHOULD NOT have been stopped in the 12th; LOL that would have been horrible.

Great fight. Thank you, Marquez and Vasquez, for reminding people what the sport is about.

Time for the 4th fight...!

I scored it 113 - 113 and I would have had it for Marquez if not for the low blow, which was bullshit but the ref did warn him several times throughout the fight.

I was going for Marquez, but I'm glad Vazquez won because of how he finished the fight, man that was a championship round right there and Vazquez laid it all on the line and was determined to finish Rafael off, and nearly did.

There were several close rounds that were very difficult to score, especially round 5 (which I scored even) and round 9. Plus, there were several rounds that were about even, and then in the final 30-40 seconds someone was able to land a few big punches which were enough to steal the round.

Unbelievable fight and yes, I hope there is a fight 4.

lol, me too. I'd be cool if they just fight eachother for the rest of their careers (and I'd still rank them both in the top 10 p4p).

It's so rare in boxing that there could even be talks of a 4th fight. I cant think of any off the top of my head, other than Sugar Ray Robinson and Jake LaMotta who fought 6 times.

I'd pay to watch a 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, and 10th fight between these two warriors. IMO, these are the kinds of fights that drew me into boxing, and keep me a huge fan today.

I don't know man. I want them to fight again but fights like these can be damaging to people. I'd just hope they get paid what it's worth for them to scrap again if it happens.

I swear if 1/4th of the fights could be half has good as this one boxing would still be waaaaaaaaay ahead of mma.

^ Thats true. But most boxing fights end up in the hands of the faulty ass judges...which is the main reason why a lot of boxing fans don't even bother to follow.

I am in favor of the 15 Round fight. LOL...at least you can clearly determine a winner...those last few rounds are all heart.

Yeah, that's true and I was thinking about this. I'm sure these kind of fights take a lot out of fighters, especially considering they had three wars with each other in less than 1 year. Probably takes years off their careers.

2nd fight:

1st fight (Vazquez broken nose):
