^^clottey walks around at 170 pounds man, he has to lose a lot of weight for his fights (not bulk up).

other than that I agree with you. Clottey says he's going to attack pac:

Joshua Clottey: 'I Won't Run, I Will Attack Manny Pacquiao'

Challenger Joshua Clottey said he plans to charge and attack early when he takes on 'Fighter of the Decade' Manny Pacquiao at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas on March 13.

"I plan to go right at him. There's no way he's chasing me around the ring," Clottey said at his training camp in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.

Clottey revealed he doesn't have a single boxing video of Pacquiao in camp.

"I already know what he's all about. He's a great champion. This is a difficult fight. But I am going for the win right away, as soon as the bell rings," Clottey said. "I know personally he talks about me all of the time and there is a lot of concern in his camp."

If you weight train, and then stop your work out for some time, your weight will go up. But Clottey is not a natural 170 pounder whose frame was fit to weigh 170. If he never lifted weights or worked out, he's be skinny kid. Trust me on that. You ever see any really big guys his size coming from Africa? All Clottey is doing is trimming down his fat consumption back to simple muscle mass. Look at his face in his pics? Does his face look sucked in any of his pics. Nope, because he's not killing himself to get down to 147.

I honestly believe if he does what he says in that interview you posted, that it will end up in a clash that is more suited for Clottey than Pacman. But he could be all talk for the media right now to hype the fight.

My main concern is if Pacman gets punished by Clottey, but yet somehow gets the win and then goes into a fight with Mayweather as less of a fighter than he would have had they originally finalized their plan to fight. I mean the same could be said for Mayweather if he comes out of a war with Mosely badly bruised. If this happens, will it even be the same level of a fight that it could have been? Something to think about... I foresee either Mayweather or Pacquiao not being the same fighter he was after their respective match, which to me tarnished the fight.

clottey has a thin waist, but his body is very bulky.

Here is a pic from the cotto weigh in, his face is caved in a bit:

he typically re-hydrates to 160+ on fight night. Against Diego Corrales, he actually weighed in over 170 pounds on fight night.

Most everyone I hear consider Clottey a big welterweight because of his weight. He isn't that tall but his body, most his upper body are huge. He needs those big arms for his style of fighting (the winky wright type of defense). Also I suspect his head weighs 35 pounds :)

A lot of people are predicting Clottey to outweigh pac by about 15 pounds on fight night, hence "clottey being the biggest fighter pac has ever faced."

It's going to be a tough fight and a lot of people are underestimating Clottey, he's a beast and he's not an easy win for any man!

His face looks more chiseled than sunkin in (He doesn't look all hagard and tired looking). But yeah, Clottey is the original Paul Williams. You only take the fight with him when you've run out of options

I think Clottey gassed out in the 11th and 12th round against Cotto, he could have won that fight if he didnt flat out give away those rounds. I dont think hurt Manny is gonna hurt Clottey bad however Clottey might get fatigued and that would be the end.

what makes you think pac wasn't banged up from the cotto fight? after the fight he looked like he took a decent beating. that's what happens when you actually fight respectable competition.

I was watching the Pac/Clottey face of interview with Max Kellerman...As soon as Max brought up mayweather's name pac started coughing as if he was getting nervous, luckly for pac max dropped the topic. Just something I noticed!!

Clottey isn't going to be doing any punishing with his guard in that position. There is absolutely no power on a counter shot that is being thrown from your face. Unless he opens up, and goes on the offensive, which I have never seen him do...he is going to get picked apart.

His best asset in this fight are his rough house tactics. If he can push Pacquiao into the ropes and unleash combinations, he can definitely do damage.

The main thing is that he's going to have to come out of that defensive shell to do so, and by doing that, he's also opening up himself to get hit.

Just my .02...but this fight should be entertaining for sure. Can't wait for it...and see a fight at that dope ass venue.

Right on, I seen it last night. I was wondering why they were laughing but I think it should be a good fight because Clottey seems like he really wants to win this fight. And we all know Pacman is all business once he hits the ring. I think this should be a good fight to tell you the truth.

Clottey is huge.... Boy they are going to regret not taking the Mayweather fight if Clottey beats Pacman. Could have made much more money fighting Mayweather. Do I smell a fix???? Are the judges going to get paid to score the fight in Manny's favor off top? Clottey has been on the wrong side of a few close fights and if this fight is close there's no way he'll get the win(just like in the past).

The same EXACT statements are true for mayweather. Floyd would really look foolish if he got KO'd by Mosley.

Both guys are taking risks here, and potentially ruining a potential clash with eachother. Let's be clear about that tony.

LMAO, come on tony! Same could be said for mayweather and any boxing fight.

Clottey has been on the wrong side of a few close fights
The case can be made for ONE fight (cotto) but most people, including myself, believe he is the only one to blame (he didn't finish the fight strong, he didn't finish cotto when he was hurt, etc.).

and if this fight is close there's no way he'll get the win(just like in the past).
That's boxing for you man. Almost anytime you have one guy who is a huge star fighting another guy who isn't, if it's a really close fight you're almost guaranteed the bigger name will get the nod. That's boxing (see Floyd vs Castillo I).

The crowd will be like 95% pacquiao fans. That sways the judges opinions too imo. I mean, I thought Mayweather EASILY beat floyd by at least 4-5 rounds, and yet it was a split decision. Why? Because everytime Oscar threw his little pussy flurry of punches that floyd blocked every punch the crowd would go crazy and I'm sure judges were like "ooh he must have landed something there!"

On top of that, Clottey doesn't have the style that impresses judges. I mean, Clottey is the only fighter I can think of that is consantly going forward and applying pressure....without throwing punches!! lmao.

Clottey is going to need to simply throw more in this fight if he wants to win. I'd also inentially headbutt manny early to try and draw blood.

yeah manny has been pretty uncharacteristic lately and talking a lot of shit about mayweather, says he wants to knock him out and destroy him. He never talks like that. He needs to stay focused on clottey though.

Roach also said he knows clottey's biggest weakness and pacquiao will make him quit late in the fight.

He also says he came up with the perfect fight plan for mayweather.
