You are such a bitch man.

Why do I waste my time with you?
Don't Fight The Feelin' bruh.... calm down. It's not serious enough (to be calling another man out of his "internet" name)! I'm not going to bow down to your level and call you a name back... that's child's play!

Fact is.... Pacman cried like a punk after he got whooped on. That's a fact and it's the truth. So you can continue to post vids of Floyd crying (after he "won") all you want and you can say Michael Jordan/Kobe Bryant cried after they lost but it still doesn't take away the fact that Pac cried after getting beat up.

Some people just have a hard time accepting the truth... it is what it is.

Yeah, Pacquiao cried after he lost. So what? Why so much emphasis on him crying. Does that mean he's a bitch?

Immediately following his little crying tirade went on a 12 fight, and almost 5 year win streak, coming back to beat the shit out of that same Erik Morales twice, Oscar Larios, Marco Antonio Barrera, Juan Manuel Marquez, Oscar De La Hoya, Ricky Hatton, Miguel Cotto, and Joshua Clottey.

He's on a hot streak unlike anything we've seen in this generation...so hot that some morons like yourself cannot fathom the idea that a man is this good without the help of some mythical drug.

Get the fuck out of boxing conversations until you actually sit down and watch a fight, and stop copying and pasting "UNBIASED" boxing fans.

That's very impressive... he beat good fighters on that 12 fight win steak.

Come on bruh, let the name calling go. It gets old and it's child play. If you consider winning 12 fights in a row "a hot streak that this generation has never seen before" then what do you consider winning 40 fights in a row and never being beaten? Come on now tell it like it is....

Huh? Until I actually sit down and watch a fight? Unbiased boxing fans tell it like it is and don't their clouded vision get in the way! Unbiased boxing fans point of view has nothing to do with me watching a fight. Their view of what happened is their view.

who the hell are these Unbiased boxing fans you keep speaking of? Guys on a message board that you pick and select what response you like and post it over here on the sicc? You're biased and you don't even realize it, that's the funny thing.
Naaa I'm not biased. Just don't like when mf's wolf (i.e. Pacman and his camp).

I'll check the fight out tomorrow night when they replay it on HBO and then get back at you.

i dont even own madden anymore let me know when you get MW2
I'm not into shooting games, my son has this game on 360. I only football, boxing, and a little basketball (here and there). I'm going to get Legends of Wrestlemania the next time I buy a video game. I used to be a big fan of WWF back in the 80's (I used to like Mr. Wonderful Paul Orndorff and the Macho Man Randy Savage) so that'll be my next video game.

Maybe I should get MW2 so you can add me onto your friends list again and then maybe you'll give me that rematch I've been begging for in FNR4....

I dunno. Not saying that Floyd's career isn't impressive, but he has never had quite a streak like the one Pacquiao is having now.

He had an amazing run from 130-135lbs, but from 140, please Tony...tell me what he's done after that, that is even mildly impressive.

Go down the list if you want, there really wasn't anyone on his resume at 140 and up that he wasn't supposed to beat.

That's what's so impressive about Manny, he's going in there and doing the impossible. He's beating guys that he isn't supposed to. I kind of think the whole steroids thing is sort of a testament to this, in some twisted way. Give the man his props and keep it movin.

Pacquiao Won, But.......

Lorne Scoggins
8CN Boxing
March 19th, 2010

Let the excuses begin. Manny Pacquiao's talents and accomplishments in the sport of boxing are generally recognized and appreciated by casual boxing fans and hardcore enthusiasts alike. However, there remains a very loud minority of people who continually seek to discredit everything Pacquiao has achieved. His total domination over Joshua Clottey was...well...totally dominating. What else can be said? Amazingly, it seems that there is nothing that Pacquiao can possibly do to silence his critics.

Here are some excuses that have been circulating:

“Clottey could have beaten Pacquiao if he'd actually fought.”

This is no different than saying that Clottey could have won if Pacquiao HADN'T fought. How can anyone discredit Pacquiao's performance based on the fact that his opponent refused to come out of his defensive shell? Clottey has always been a defensively-minded fighter. When a defensive fighter gets 1,231 punches shot at him, he's going to cover up. Pacquiao was so busy that Clottey's instincts kicked in and he spent the entire night protecting himself. To paraphrase 8CN executive, Brad Cooney, both men stepped into the ring with 12 rounds to do their thing. While it's obvious to everyone that Clottey should have taken chances and attempted a KO in the latter rounds, that's easier said than done. Simply stated, Clottey couldn't find time to do his thing because Pacquiao was so busy doing his.

“Clottey must have been bought off to throw the fight.”

I've heard this from a few different people. Would a pay-off have been worth it? If he had beaten Manny Pacquiao, he would have pulled off a very significant upset. This would have placed him at the top of the division and he would have been the new, WBO welterweight champion of the world. He would have uncrowned the pound for pound king, and everybody in the division would have been scrambling to fight him. This would have opened the door to some tremendous paydays for the “Grand Master”. He stood so much more to gain from winning than from losing. This is a ridiculous thought.

“Clottey lost because his trainer couldn't get a visa.”

Admittedly, this fact can't be totally ignored. However, Clottey's trainer couldn't have prepared him for Pacquiao's relentless attacks. His trainer couldn't possibly have transformed him into the fighter he needed to be to defeat Pacquiao.

“Clottey lost because he's a Pacquiao fan.”

Clottey did say that Manny Pacquiao is his favorite fighter. It's obvious that Pacquiao and Clottey struck up a friendship and that they genuinely like and respect each other, but that fact didn't prevent Clottey from landing some tremendous punches that snapped Pacquiao's head back and did some damage. Boxers are accustomed to getting into the ring and doing what they have to do regardless of whether they personally like their opponent or not. Like Pacquiao always says, “It's nothing personal. Just doing my job”. Clottey failed to do his job that night, not because he felt sympathy toward poor Manny, but because he was overwhelmed.

“Team Pacquiao cherry-picked another opponent who is easy to hit. "

I'm not kidding. I actually heard this. Ridiculous, no? This one actually made me laugh. Let me be Captain Obvious here: Joshua Clottey is not easy to hit. Give me a break.

“He should have chosen a more worthy opponent.”

Like who? Let me reiterate my points from a previous article. The negotiations with Mayweather fell through. The No. 2 ranked welterweight, Shane Mosley and No. 3, Floyd Mayweather Jr. are fighting each other on May 1st. At the time the fight with Clottey was made, Mosley was expected to face Andre Berto. Miguel Cotto is No. 4 in the welterweight rankings. Pacquiao has been there and done that. Clottey was ranked No. 5.

“What did Pacquiao really prove in this fight?”

He proved that he can handle a fighter with an all but impenetrable defense. He showed that he can outclass a fighter who can avoid or block punches. He showed that a defensive fighter who only lands single punches and two-punch combos can't score enough points to win rounds against him.

Here's are some interesting questions in relation to those facts:

Will Pacquiao's dominance over Clottey add to Floyd Mayweather's apparent fear of Pacquiao? If Mayweather defeats Mosley and actually finds the nerve to step into the ring with Manny Pacquiao, how will he fare? What will he do when Pacquiao throws 1,200 punches at him? How effective would HE be with his single shots and two-punch combinations in that situation?

Pacquiao and Freddie Roach both called Mayweather out after “The Event”. Are you listening Floyd?

By Alexander Fugate: Pacquiao-Clottey is estimated to have between 650,000 and 700,000 PPV buys. While this is a good number for most fighters, its no where near the number of people who pay to see Floyd Mayweather Jr. fight. Many Pacquiao fans have been insisting he is the biggest draw in boxing.

However, those who make that erroneous claim ignore the facts and just reiterate over and over again without any proof or numbers to back it up. Mayweather was a hair from doubling Pacquiao’s PPV buys against De La Hoya.

Mayweather over doubled Pacquiao’s numbers against Juan Manuel Marquez. Mayweather got more buys versus Hatton in the US and over double Pacquiao’s in the UK. Mayweather-Marquez was supposed to have been a mismatch and most were expecting some where in the range of 500,000-700,000 buys, yet over a million people purchased that fight. What makes that number even more impressive is that it went head-to-head with a UFC PPV event.

Pacquiao got 1.25 million buys against both De La Hoya and Cotto. With the numbers for March 13th, it is now clear Pacquiao isn’t a huge draw, but needs another high profile opponent to bring in the huge numbers that Mayweather consistently does.

What makes matters even worse for Manny is that both Mayweather and Freddie Roach are on record saying Mosley isn’t a big draw. In fact, that was one of the reasons Roach gave for Manny fighting Cotto instead of “Sugar” Shane. Since Cotto is a bigger draw than Mosley, than Pacquiao-Cotto should have better numbers than Mayweather-Mosley, if Manny is close to the draw that Mayweather is.

However, most expect Mayweather-Mosley to sell far more PPV’s. In fact, the May 1st clash could bring in over 2 million and possibly even 2.5 million, which would be double any event Pacquiao has ever been in. If Mayweather-Mosley gets over 2 million buys, there is no way that Manny deserves anything close to a 50/50 split. Mayweather has constantly brought in better numbers than Manny.

If Pacquiao is serious about wanting to fight Mayweather, he needs to accept the fact that more people are willing to shell out their money to see Floyd than him, and accept a smaller cut of the purse. If Manny insists on a 50/50 split, it will be clear he has no intention of fighting the best and is looking for a way out. He would still make much more with a 40% cut of the purse in a fight with Mayweather, compared to a fight with anyone else where Manny would receive a bigger share of the earnings than his opponent.

If Mayweather can get by Mosley on May 1st, the world will be waiting to see if Manny actually wants to be a part of what would be the biggest match ever. And the answer will be clear when he makes his demand for his share of PPV revenue.
206, morebass, wyno, kah707kali, can we get a reply? Damn Floyd's a bigger draw in the U.K. too huh.... boy we learn something new everyday don't we?

I don't think he's scared to fight, but I don't think he wants the fight bad enough. He should tell Arum I'll take the test so the fight will happen. It's pacman and his camp with the excuses but they keep blaming Mayweather.

^ It is but c'mon bro, Baldomir sucks...plain and simple. Not shitting on the accomplishment, but seriously...I wouldn't consider Baldomir one of Floyd's better wins. Genaro, Corrales, Chavez...were all much more impressive victories, IMO.
