FUCK YOU
Antonio Margarito has fracture to face

ntonio Margarito, the Mexican super welterweight beaten badly by Manny Pacquiao on Saturday night, suffered a fractured orbital bone to his face and was expected to stay in the hospital for observation through at least Sunday night, an executive with Margarito's promotions company said.

Margarito, who lost in a lopsided, 12-round decision, was taken directly to the hospital via ambulance after the fight to have cuts to his face examined.

That is when the injury to his eye socket was discovered, Top Rank executive Carl Moretti told ESPN.com's Dan Rafael in an e-mail Sunday.

Margarito skipped the postfight news conference at the request of the fight doctor and people in his camp, an unusual move for a fight of this magnitude.

Legendary Pacquiao trainer Freddie Roach was critical of the late-round decision-making of Margarito's corner, saying they should have forced a stoppage.

"There was no way I was gong to quit. I'm a Mexican, we fight until the end," Margarito said.

Pacquiao (52-3-2, 38 KOs), giving away both pounds and inches, won the WBC super welterweight belt to extend his record with a title in an eighth weight class -- two more than Oscar De La Hoya's six.

"He's a very tough guy," Roach said of Margarito (38-7, 27 KOs). "I was surprised how tough he was. He has the worst corner. They probably ruined his career by not stopping the fight."

Pacquiao turned Margarito into a bloody and nearly blind fighter with a dizzying array of punches, dominating from the opening rounds on at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

The beating was so thorough that the congressman from the Philippines turned to referee Laurence Cole several times in the 11th round, imploring him to stop the fight.

"I told the referee, 'Look at his eyes, look at his cuts,' " Pacquiao said. "I did not want to damage him permanently. That's not what boxing is about."

It went on, though, even though Margarito had no chance to win.

"I can't believe that I beat someone this big and this strong," Pacquiao said. "It's hard. I really do my best to win the fight."

Pacquiao moved up in weight yet again to take on Margarito, a natural welterweight with a reputation for ruggedness in the ring.

And rugged he was, though he took a beating all night long at the hands of a faster and seemingly more powerful opponent.

Pacquiao won every round on one scorecard, 120-108, and was ahead 119-109 and 118-110 on the other two. The Associated Press had it a 120-108 shutout.

That's class right there.

Kind of reminds me of Demian Maia. He's said before that he doesn't want to hurt his opponents.

One of the many reasons I like manny: he seems like a humble and good guy, despite his top level success

if mayweather ever decided to step into the ring with pacman. you best believe manny would be ready for that fight...he would train and be more motivated then he has ever been before imo. pbf had to have seen the fight last night....he don't want none of that dude though...his 0 is more important to him then anything in the world.

a motivated manny is not to be fucked with. its like it pisses him off when he starts getting hit and he just snaps...lol

mayweathers style of fighting does not...i repeat...does not scare manny at all.

This doesn't make much sense. If he was tired from the 8th to the 12th why did he continue to throw combos and move for the rest of those rounds? Why didn't Margarito, who stayed coming forward, win one of those rounds? In regards to his shape, do you know how much he weighed in his last three fights (the fight last night included.) Do you know what happened in all of those fights? Boxing clinics.
yeah it doesn't make sense.

if manny was tired, it's because it's physically exhausting throwing over 1,000 punches for 12 rounds against guys way bigger than him, and that's exactly what he's done the last couple fights. Margarito 17 pound advantage. Clottey had at least 10. To throw that many punches, and to move that much against big physical guys, that is exhausting. So for pacquiao to do that, it's pretty amazing. Show me any fighter that can throw over 1,000 punches against bigger guys who aren't a little tired at the end of the fight. You can't. And I know one guy who has never, ever done such a thing - mayweather.

Going head to head, Floyd wont have much of a size advantage at all against Pacquiao and he's not a physical fighter. Pacquiao wouldn't be throwing over 1,000 punches against a defensive fighter like floyd. So stamina definitely wouldn't be an issue against Floyd. Manny would be fighting a much more tactical fight and picking his shots carefully.

who gave floyd the most trouble though? Castillo, who throws a lot of punches and most importantly, combination punching.

all I know is if floyd tries to pot shot all night like he did against oscar he'll lose a decision, that shit wont work with the judges against a guy like pacquiao. pacquiao is going to force floyd to fight and that's something we rarely ever see, so there is an unknown there with floyd - how will he respond, etc.

Props to Margarito for fighting until the end, but Manny is amazing. Simply fucking great.

SMH, LOL, BOOOOO @ Manny being a ''tired'' fighter against Floyd. Dumbass.

They brought up the beef between Rios and Victor Ortiz during Rios' fight, saying Rios would love to get Ortiz in the ring.

No, he wouldn't; Victor would demolish Rios in under 6 rounds. I don't care how good he (Rios) thinks he is, or how good the promoters want to make him out to be. Victor Ortiz would demolish him.

pbf will not even come close to hurting manny...imho only way he has a chance to win is a landslide victory wit his pitty pat style heavily outscoring manny. wit manny's footwork, speed, power, i don't see that happenin at all. manny's style will eventually force pbf to engage and he will get broken off somethin terrible. mufucka will not be pretty after fightin wit pac. back onto AM his dumb ass corner should have stopped the fight. now his career is pretty much over. that's what those cheatin ass, shit talkin fucks get!

yeah Ortiz at this stage would fuck Rios up. They should make the fight though regardless, it has a lightweight Oscar/Vargas type of beef in which they genuinely hate eachother. I believe the story behind it is that Victor fucked Brandon's current wife.

yeah, they definitely need to fuel the flames for this one to happen.

strange that their both from the same small town in kansas and getting trained in Oxnard too.
