aaauw, i'm little bit disappointed with the selection of the sicx song. for example, crawl thru the hood, not cho average, one nigga dead and a few others are to me his best songs. one of the sickest verses by sicx was on the fu vol.1 compilation where he killed it on "thatz why they die".. anyway, jmo
Reason I chose this Sicx track was more to add life to the mix by selecting something with a more energy, always dug this beat. Those other Sicx tracks you mentioned are some of my favorites....would probably say "Crawl Thru the Hood" is a close close 2nd. Unfortunatley that FU Vol.1 was released in 2000 so I left it out, following my own little self-impossed guidelines of sticking to 90's material. FU1 also has some of my favorite First Degree material too.

All in all tho, I may revisit this one again before the mix is finished. Thanks for letting me know your thoughts.

oh boy..another dipped out mixtape in the worx...l-wood/r8r, how about some o.z. in there
You know I wrote off OZ at the start because of all the Vallejo/Bay influence on his music and then only went back to his Ozone release toward the end. I need to bring in and rip his first self titled release....have a couple tracks off it in my files here and my want to look at somehow fitting a verse of two from "Ride On Your Hood" in the mix. Was aiming to keep it at 50 or less selections...up to 63 right now...lol.

In case you don't have it here is "Munchie - Prepare Yourself". Also include the title track from his first tape single in the folder. Don't get too excited tho...lol.

You made me really think about the Sicx selection and am happy you did. Ended up switching it to "Mr. No Print ft. COS & Tall Cann G". Nice to give the mix more Siccmade representation.

Ended up fitting the first verse of "Ride On Your Hood" in....glad you made me revisit OZ again. Good to hear for you Marv! This one should be another winner once it's ready.

Just got off the phone with r8r and he's got some work deadlines coming to a close in about 3 weeks after which he'll start attacking this one. I updated the featured artists list on post 1. Thanks again everyone for your input!

IT'S DOPE !! !

Still waiting for my copy, but I had to dl before hands coz couldnt wait.

Totally surprised me, thought it might be slightly over average, good basic album.
But no, it slaps so hard. Some cuts sound like the producer is just jammin n improvising wit the synth/guitar (yeah, has lots of guitar)/whatever. Not a single weak track on this one folks! Maybe few that are 'just good', rest are dope
Thanks for the props Buddhist. This is Mr. Dizz (producer, dj, engineer and rapper of the Mayjor Playahz.) Sorry that I'm late to the party. I haven't read this entire thread, but let me know if you want to use any songs off of the 19 Ninety Playah Ha8te album and I would be willing to show some love...

Went with "Bang Bang ft. Mr. Doctor" off the Jackers album...it's a good track and like yourself I'm not a huge R&B guy but this one fit well.
